Hanoi Cooking Class: Free Recipe & Specialty Coffee Tasting

Started our day by shopping at the oldest local market! The cooking class was very informative (and tasty)! We made pho, papaya salad, fresh spring roll and coconut coffee. They also gave us a voucher and recipe QR for future reference!

We had a wonderful experience! We started by going to the wet market to buy all the fresh ingredients needed for the cooking class, which made the experience even more authentic. Learning how to prepare Vietnamese dishes was both fun and informative. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and the place was cozy and comfortable. Even the hot weather didn’t bother us because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. 😊

An absolutely fantastic experience—I'd say it was perfect! From the morning market shopping session, to the pick-up and drop-off transport, to the cooking venue and the staff's attitudes—everything deserves full marks from me!! The dishes we made were incredibly delicious too haha, and I also made a lot of new friends;) It was my last day in Hanoi, and I'm so glad I chose Dine with Locals~

It’s definitely a must-try. I had so much fun learning how to make traditional Vietnamese cuisine and egg coffee. The guides, Cherry and Jesse, were very friendly and informative. The market tour was such a fun experience also. The venue is very neat and welcoming. It’s such a great cultural experience. Well recommended.

I highly recommend this class! I really liked our instructor, Mango. She was very patient, taking us to the market to shop and explaining local ingredients and culture. The cooking process was very enjoyable, and I could truly feel Mango's passion for cooking; every student had a great time! I never imagined I could cook such delicious Vietnamese dishes myself, and it made for a wonderful day in Vietnam! Finally, I wish Mango all the best in her work, sharing the delicious flavors of Vietnam with every tourist! 🙏🏻☺️☺️

it is a real great experience! The program is well-thought. It is overhwelming, but in a good sense. I definitely recommend as a must-do while in Hanoi! it is not only a culinary immersion but is also cultural! Kudos to the chef and her team!

Our host, Mango, was absolutely fantastic super friendly, funny, and welcoming from start to finish! She took us to the local market first, showing us how locals shop and explaining all the ingredients in detail. It was such an authentic and insightful experience. After the market, we went to her home, which was spotless and beautifully set up for the class. The whole cooking experience was incredible from learning how to make banana leaf salad to rolling our own spring rolls, every part was hands-on and fun. We learned so much about Vietnamese cooking and culture. Mango even helped organise taxis to and from our hotel, which made the whole process seamless. The class runs for about 4–5 hours, so if you are short on time, you could skip the market part, but we highly recommend doing the full experience. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable day for both my partner, and myself. We give it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone

We booked this cooking class for my mom's birthday and it was the best decision ever. Our cooking class turned into a private cooking class and Chef Jesse, our cooking instructor, was very patient and accommodated our requests and answered all our questions. The class was so fun and we learned a lot about Vietnamese cooking. The location of our class was also very beautiful. The ceramics and cooking tools they used during our cooking class were also of high quality. The unlimited local wines was also another highlight of the class. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to know more about what ingredients go inside of your Vietnamese food or to anyone who wants to have a fun experience with family and friends.
