Sand Art Painting Workshop at Loft Johor Bahru

Fun activity to do with friends but need abit of skill to use the tools to create patterns like flower petals and waves. Instructor is very friendly also!

It was N amazing art jamming time with my kids. The studio is clean and bright. They play soft instrumental music while we were painting. Art supplies including mobile phone standee was available if we require to refer to our references while drawing.

Spent my 2 hrs with my 2 kids at here is worth a penny. Kind and nice instructor will share how to use the tools with simple method. Very happy found this in klook and found that sand art painting is such a great option to do during my visit at Johor!

The children focus on their work for about 3 hours, showing off their art school aura. The studio is very clean and comfortable, and the teachers who help are also very kind and professional. If I have the chance, I would like to visit again.

My kids spend 4 hours in the studio in order to finist their artwork. Staffs are very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend it to kids exploring art and everybody who loves art.

We signed up for the Sand Art Painting Workshop at Loft in Johor Bahru expecting a guided, creative session where the kids would learn actual techniques to craft beautiful landscapes and intricate patterns. The activity turned out to be very much self-directed — participants are simply given a board and the sand paints, with minimal instruction or technique demonstration. There was no structured teaching on how to create specific designs, so it quickly felt like a DIY project rather than a workshop. For what was advertised as an interactive art experience, the level of guidance was disappointing. The kids found it boring and were left to figure things out on their own rather than being taught new skills. On top of that, the core materials (colored sand, board) are very basic — you can easily buy similar sand art kits online (e.g., on Shopee) and do this sort of activity at home for much cheaper, with the added flexibility to control pace and setup.
