Ipoh Private Day Tour from Kuala Lumpur

He took us to explore the charming Ipoh old town, stunning limestone caves, and the iconic Kellie's Castle. We joined this day tour on 15/2/2023, our tour guide and driver is Mr. Raja, he is punctual, patient and caring during the whole tour. We received the pick up confirmation via email the day before, and Mr. Raja picked us up on time and it took 2.5hrs one way. he told us about the flow of the journey clearly, and tried his best to explain the history and origins of each places and spots to us even our english is not fluent. Since only two of us (my husband and I) joined this private tour, Mr.Raja took photos for us in every spots. We had a fun trip, the perak cave temple is magnificent!

This is our first trip to city of Ipoh, Perak. Our guide, Mr. Raja is a superb driver-guide. He drives smoothly and also explains and tells a lot of history about Ipoh and surrounds. We kinda love it so much. Our first stop, Kellie's Castle is amazing place, it showing us a fantastic castle, full of mystery, even though the building is never to be finished. But it's very interesting, plus, the view from the top is very amazing. Mr. Raja also helps us to take a lot of pictures, yes we really love it. Then we go to Ipoh city, we stop by the Old Town White Coffee Padang Ipoh, it's very nice to drink and taste the original white coffee here, we chill and having a relax time here. Then we go to Birch Memorial Clock Tower, also the Ipoh Railway Station. This was a photo stop by, but we also enjoy it a lot. Next, Mr. Raja surprises us to the Concubine Lane, kind of hidden alley selling goods, local foods, and also souvenirs. This also a hidden spot to take noce and lovely pictures. Then we have lunch of chicken tau geh, an authentic Ipoh food. We love it so much! After buying some goods and foodie to bring home, we continue our journey to Perak Tong Temple. This place is totally amazing, natural cave with a giant Buddha statue and temple inside of it. We also climb to the top, where we can see a spectacular view from above. This is our last stop before heading back to Kuala Lumpur. Overall, the car is clean and comfortable. And specially to Mr. Raja, he is so superb guide, with a very clear explanation, and also care to details for our needs. He's so totally love his job, and we are saying have a very good time with him. Totally recommended, and best service. We difinitely come back again to try another tour with him.

Journey to Ipoh although was long but Mr Chandra’s sharing on his knowledge of the history behind Ipoh was very much enlightening for us to know more about Ipoh! Making the trip very much enjoyable and meaningful to learn about every stops we made in Ipoh! Best part was the piping hot and scrumptious chicken rice we had for lunch and the shopping for Ipoh delicacies to be be brought home as gifts for friends and relatives! Highly recommended choice for visitors who want to learn more of Ipoh history and shopping!

Very relaxing tour and worth the long drive from KL. Guide and driver Thiva was very professional. Safe driving and useful briefing, but wouldn't keep talking. places are a delight to see.

I am highly impressed by our Driver Raja, who arrived on time and was very professional throughout the trip. He drove safely and made sure were comfortable at all times. He was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Ipoh and was able to answer all our questions with ease. He communicated well and shared interesting anecdotes throughout the tour. The tour itself was well-planned and included all the major attractions of Ipoh, like Kellie’s Castle,Perak tong cave temple, a visit to Ipoh railway station and clock tower. We also got a chance to visit the in famous Concubine lane and saw the great street art. I also loved the coffee at the Old Coffee house and Chicken and bean sprouts with rice for lunch. Overall, I had a great time on the tour and highly recommend Raja our tour guide come driver to anyone visiting Ipoh.

The accommodation is not in the city, but I applied for a private tour, so it was so nice to come to the front of the accommodation. The weather was so nice and the city of Ipoh was so beautiful! The guide was like a veteran!^^ I am very satisfied with the Kuala Lumpur Ipoh Tour!

This was a fun-filled day! The van was very spacious with cold AC (perfect after visiting each site). Mr Tan & our driver arrived before the meeting time. They were both very friendly. Mr Tan was really amazing in explaining each spot we visited. He also brought us to this really nice Ipoh Chicken Rice store & the white coffee stall. 5-star is not even enough for this one. I highly recommend this trip. Bonus to have Mr Tan as your tour guide. Hope to book another trip soon. 😊
