Hotel is located very conveniently and many eateries, bar, cafe and also near to famous oldest night bazaar. And breakfast spread is decent and delicious. That’s where the good points are. We were allotted a big room facing car park. The room badly needed a major renovation. Controls for the room were from the 90s and part of the buttons have peeled off. Bedding is basic as you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Maintenance is not up to speed as well as shower screen door was squeaky and thankfully it did not fall off. The hotel does not carry Movenpick standard when I compare it to the one that I have stayed in Saigon some years back. Overall I would not recommend booking it if you are looking for Movenpick standard.

Good

Solo stay

Great location, but is a little older. Feels like staying at a Chinese hotel. The rooms are older and not as fresh as the lobby. The western restaurant in the lobby was under construction while I was there, but only the outside. I asked to sit inside to host a business meeting, but they wanted me to eat in the lobby. The Thai restaurant had better service. But lots of other options. Good street food. McDonalds for late night munchies. Hard Rock Cafe is across street for good food for meeting friends.

Location was amazing! Right next to the night market and walking distance to other must-sees. Room and hotel was quite outdated. Was slightly disappointed as photos did not make that apparent. Room was also not ready by stated check in time of 2PM. Nonetheless, I do find it worth the price point.

Room was in good condition, and well kept, but the 1970s kept calling for a return of the design and layout. The hard wired central control instead of normal switches was completely off putting, I could not plug in chargers or accessories without leaving the light plug on. Probably the only hotel in Thailand where 2 single beds were hard nailed with a FIXED credenza in the middle. Mattress was too soft (typical of accors tho’).
