Our trip to Vung Tau was unforgettable, breathtaking sights, fascinating history, delicious food, and wonderful memories! Visiting the magnificent Jesus Christ Statue. Climbing 850 steps, followed by another 100 inside, a challenge but absolutely worth it for the incredible views. Bach Dinh (White Palace) was stunning, with beautiful architecture and gardens. We also enjoyed the Dinh Thang Tam Whale Museum, a fascinating history. The beach was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the ocean breeze, and take in the coastal scenery. Lunch was a delicious feast of fresh, flavourful local dishes! one photo of food much more came out. A huge thank you to our guide, Bao, who made the day truly special. His knowledge, kindness, great conversation, and excellent recommendations made us feel welcome and helped us get the most from our visit. Vung Tau🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟—and if you can have Bao as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable experience! ❤️Brett and Michelle

Fantastic 5.0
It wasn't as big as I expected, and even on a weekday, there were quite a few people. The pool was much smaller than I thought. The view was nice since it's on a mountain.

Such an amazing exễprience. The team was so friendly and supportive throughout the whole lesson and surfing session. As a first-time surfer, I was pretty nervous, but with their help, I was surfing so smoothly. And they even captured tons of awesome photos and videos for me. Highly recommend 😉

What to know before visiting Vung Tau

What to expect in Vung Tau

The things-to-do collection here is led by Water parks, then Tours, Cable cars and Museums, so you’ll find a mix that suits families, sightseers and short-day excursions. That spread means Vung Tau works well for both family days out and short guided tours around the coast. Bookings peak in December and are quietest in November, so expect the biggest crowds and strongest demand in December and much lighter availability in November.

How to choose what to book

The main choice is whether you want big-group experiences or quick family outings: the category with the widest price range is Tours, where typical bookings are around PHP 1,962 and upper-end options reach about PHP 2,319, so you can find everything from modest guided trips to premium private options. For value and simple fill-in options, Museums are the most affordable way in with a typical price near PHP 178, and their narrow range means shopping around rarely changes the price much.

If you’re budgeting for a family water day or an aerial ride, Water parks give a clear entry-level price (typically about PHP 535) and Cable cars sit in the mid-range (typically about PHP 1,070). Mid-range categories are where inclusions vary the most, so check what each ticket actually covers rather than assuming similar prices mean similar experiences.

When travellers from the Philippines book

Most travellers book at the last minute: typical bookings are about 0 days ahead, while the earliest planners book roughly 1 day ahead. That means you can often arrange activities shortly before travel, though the extra cushion matters most in December when demand peaks.

How prices compare

Below is a quick look at how the city’s top categories compare on price so you can set a budget before choosing.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Water parks PHP 535 PHP 476 – 714
Tours PHP 1,962 PHP 1,784 – 2,319
Cable cars PHP 1,070 PHP 1,011 – 1,130
Museums PHP 178 PHP 178 – 238

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
