Fantastic 5.0
I chose a guided tour mainly because, after researching, I found that the cost was about the same as traveling independently with multiple transfers. Not having to transfer was fantastic. This time, our tour guide, Xiao Fang, guided us through Wuzhen East柵 and led us into the Nanxun Scenic Area. Although the combined tour resulted in a large crowd, requiring us to stay very close to hear the guide properly (I constantly heard 'You have fallen behind' from my headset), it definitely added much more depth to the travel experience compared to just wandering around on our own and listening to a guide. True to the itinerary description, lunch, tour headsets, and the boat cruise were not included in the tour fee. Lunch was filling and might only be considered specialty food for foreigners, but the other two items are highly recommended for optional purchase. There were some foreigners in our group, which I felt slightly detracted from the overall experience, but purely from the perspective of a shared shuttle tour, it was actually quite alright. Aside from the riverside and bridges in East Zha, I also highly recommend going inside the Hongyuantai Dye Workshop for photos; since we visited on a weekend, the alleys should have been great for photos too otherwise. As for Nanxun, following Tour Guide Xiao Fang's advice, we headed straight to the Hundred-Jian Building. The walk was a bit far, and at one point I wondered why I had suddenly left the tourist area, but it was truly worth seeing. If you have plenty of time and a travel companion, I highly recommend finding a place to sit down, dine by the river, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The Ding Sheng cake is also recommended to try (I bought it freshly steamed and it was quite good). The night offers a completely different scenery, and I originally chose this tour because it included viewing the night view. Overall, the experience was pretty good.

Fantastic 5.0
We went on an impromptu trip to Shang Hai and purchased the 5D4N package and was very impressed with the price, and service. Our tour guide, Xiao Tang, was very professional, diligent and caring throughout the trip. I find her a very sincere person and easy to talk to. She was also very knowledgeable sharing the history of all the places we went to. Thanks to her that the entire trip was so comfortable for us. Thanks Xiao Tang, kudos! ❤️❤️

Fantastic 5.0
The experience was excellent, I highly recommend arriving at 8:00 AM to slowly choose your outfits, and then get your hair and makeup done. Afterward, you can enjoy taking countless photos in the Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area. The scenery is beautiful, and no matter how you pose with your chosen clothes, the pictures will turn out lovely.

Great 4.0
The attractions we visited were great, and the Songcheng show was quite spectacular—definitely worth seeing. The tour bus was new, very comfortable, and the air conditioning was excellent. However, the so-called 'luxury five-diamond hotel' was more like a 3-star hotel; it was quite old.

Fantastic 5.0
There are many exhibitions to visit in Dongzha, and in Xizha, you can take a cruise and go shopping. There are a lot of people taking the boat, making the trip worthwhile. Especially around 7 p.m., the night view is even more beautiful and the photo-taking effect is better. Sitting by the river and watching the boatman rowing the boat slowly drifting on the river is very pleasant and relaxing.

Fantastic 5.0
Since I was traveling with my parents, I was most worried about the bus ride comfort, but it was a limousine bus so we rested really comfortably the whole time we were moving!! The night view of Wuzhen was beyond words, so pretty, and we had plenty of free time at Yuyuan Old Street so we took a ton of photos haha. The guide gave fun explanations about Chinese culture and history during the trip so there was never a dull moment~ Eating familiar food at Koreatown as the last stop made it a perfect itinerary, highly recommend it!

What to know before visiting Jiaxing

What to expect in Jiaxing

The things to do catalogue in Jiaxing is led by Tours, followed by Parks & gardens and Cultural experiences, so you can pick between organised sightseeing, green attractions, and culture-focused activities. That spread means travellers can mix a full guided day with quieter park visits or deeper cultural sessions depending on mood. Demand peaks in March and is at its quietest in July, so March visits see the busiest availability while July is the calmest for the same experiences.

How to decide what to book

A key choice is whether you want a guided itinerary or a low‑commitment visit: Tours are the highest typical price at PHP 3,033, while Parks & gardens present the most affordable typical option at PHP 1,249. Cultural experiences show the widest price span, with a typical price of PHP 2,557 and entry-level and upper-end options that give you scope to trade budget for depth.

If you need to fill gaps in an itinerary, the most affordable way in is Parks & gardens where prices cluster tightly and shopping around gains little; if you want variety and scalable experiences, Cultural experiences offer the widest choices. For a full-day, convenience-focused visit, Tours sit at the upper end of the price scale and suit travellers who prioritise organisation over DIY planning.

When travellers from the Philippines book

Most travellers book around 9 days ahead, while the earliest planners secure activities about 20 days out, so aim to book within one to two weeks for typical flexibility. This cushion matters most for travel in March, when demand peaks and popular options are busiest.

How prices compare across categories

The table below shows how Jiaxing's top activity categories compare on typical price and the usual price range.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Tours PHP 3,033 PHP 2,319 – PHP 3,211
Parks & gardens PHP 1,249 PHP 1,249 – PHP 1,308
Cultural experiences PHP 2,557 PHP 1,249 – PHP 2,676

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
