It’s quite difficult to find a decent, genuinely ethically ran elephant sanctuary these days but after much searching, Joy is the real deal. Hotel pick up was swift and on time and once there the guides were clear and professional. The elephants were not forced to interact with us. They had their designated snack time (they are fed regular meals by their keepers) which we gave them, and we were invited to walk with them afterwards, several metre distance, no touching. Afterwards we could clean off in the sanctuary’s stream, the elephants were not made to come, but they are given free reign to come and go as they please, and they came. It was a wonderful sight. The rafting add on was well worth it, and we were lucky enough to do so in a storm! The torrential rain added to the atmosphere. (I’ll add that the guides ensured that the route was safe first before sending us down!)

Great experience with elephants. Started off with an initial briefing, then feeding the elephants, then small hike parallel with the elephants up & down the mountain to a river stream where we bathe in cold fresh water. We were given lunch. Post lunch we prepared local thai inhaler, examined the elephant, prepared and food special digestive food for the elephants and finally planted banana trees. The guide and team were very nice and professional. Highly recommended

It was well worth going super early, before sunrise. That way we were able to see the temple still illuminated by the night lights and empty. We were able to watch the sunrise, see the monks' ceremony right after, and even participate in the offerings to them. The guide, Happy, was very efficient and explained everything, helping me from the previous day via WhatsApp (because I really wanted to participate in the ceremonies and offerings), and she made it possible.

I should have booked this together, but I ended up booking separately because I missed the option to select a tour guide during my first booking. As mentioned in my other review, the car was neat and clean, and it smelled really good. The driver, Thor and tour guide Jackie were so nice and polite. We noticed that the driver already sounds fluent in English, more fluent than the tour guide. But we're lucky to have both of them guide us during the tour. We did a customised tour because we only want to visit a few attractions and mainly wanna take it easy. We stayed at Mon Jam for a night, so they drove us there and picked us up the following day. It was a hassle-free and relaxing trip, indeed. Thanks!

A fantastic trip, the flowers of the Miao ethnic cultural village, the flourishing incense of the Phra Temple for wishes and blessings, the serene exploration of the Phra Temple, and the pleasantness of the Huai Kio Waterfall are all worth visiting and exploring.

I thought I was just going to see the sunrise, but Wat Pha Lat was surprisingly stunning, like a paradise. Plus, the guide Matt (I hope I remembered correctly) was friendly and professional, highly recommended.
