We participated in the afternoon Hanoi half day city private tour in December 2025. We enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it.
Well planned itinerary, with good coverage and comfortable pace. Pickup / drop-off at hotel is very convenient. Suitable for anyone including elderly.
Our local guide was a cheerful, enthusiastic lady, April. She was great, very fluent in english, professional, knowledgeable and informative. We learned a lot from her. It was a great experience overall. Thank you April.
The van was spacious for three. Also, Stella from Crossing Vietnam Travel was very accomodating and agreed to swap coffee in old quarter to coffee in train street.
Highly recommended!

I participated in a one-day sightseeing tour of Hanoi (Japanese). The guide was Mr. Tho, who speaks Japanese (apparently known as Mr. Kotobuki in Japanese). In the morning, I learned about the history of Hanoi while visiting major tourist attractions, which was very educational. For lunch, we had pho from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The restaurant was very crowded, but the guide used his quick thinking and ordered takeout while we were drinking tea at a nearby friend's cafe. We were able to enjoy the pho slowly and without waiting at the cafe. After that, we had a foot massage, shopping at the supermarket, a stop at the market, a cyclo tour of the old town, and ate egg coffee and che. In the evening, we saw the water puppet show, and he got us great seats right in the center. It was worth seeing. Dinner was bun cha. Our guide, Mr. Tho, was very thoughtful and had a perfect sense of timing for the tour. During the tour, he gave us little tidbits of information, such as where to find delicious sticky rice and about the night market. After dinner, I declined the ride back to the hotel and strolled through the night market on my way back. It was a jam-packed tour from morning to night. There were breaks, so I didn't get tired. It was very good, but the foot massage shop included in the tour was not good. They were unfriendly, lacked customer service, and the room was untidy and looked like a storage room. I was charged a tip of 100,000 VND firmly. I would have preferred to pay a little more and be taken to a slightly better massage shop. There are other good massage shops for the same price. This tour is efficient and cost-effective, and I highly recommend it. It was fun and I was very satisfied.

I was planning to sightsee on my own, but I'm so glad I chose this tour. On the day of the tour, it ended up being just the two of us in a taxi. Our guide, Sue, was very informative and helpful, and we learned a lot about history. We also went to a slightly upscale souvenir shop, but we also went to a local supermarket, which was cheaper and where we bought a lot more. I was very satisfied that she took us to the Michelin-recommended pho restaurant that I wanted to go to. She also booked a recommended massage parlor for us, which was a great help.

Teddy was a wonderful guide, he is still young but very knowledgeable about Vietnam, its people and history. The incense village and citadel tour was also a great experience

it was interesting to know the traditional process of incense-making in Hanoi. Our guide, April was well informed about the traditions and culture about incense. The finished products are colorful and they are blooms. For the train station visit, it's a unique experience. an ordinary railway become a tourist attraction. Tourists are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the train beside the railway. The place is also surrounded with lots of souvenir shops and coffee shops.

I joined the tour in the Incense Village and Conical Hat Village in Hanoi, and it was such a wonderful and insightful experience. The place itself is vibrant from the colorful incense sticks laid out like blooming flowers, to the traditional conical hat craft passed down through generations.
A special shout-out to our guide, Irish, who made the whole tour truly memorable. She explained each step of the incense making and hat-weaving process clearly, including the cultural stories behind them. She was very attentive, always willing to help, and made sure everyone was comfortable and engaged.
I really appreciated how she connected tradition with real-life stories it gave a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture and the community behind these crafts. If you’re looking for an authentic local experience while in Hanoi, I highly recommend this tour and if you can, ask for Irish! She made it excellent from start to finish. 🧡✨
