Things to do in Lantau Peak

We had such a wonderful time at Ngong Ping 360! The cable car ride offered breathtaking panoramic views of Lantau Island, the Big Buddha, and it felt like floating above the clouds. The entire experience was smooth, safe, and very well organized. It’s incredibly kid-friendly and my son absolutely loved the experienced!

This is my second time visiting Lantau Island! There are many types of cable cars available, but I recommend riding the Crystal Cabin. The mountain and sea views blend into one, it's truly spectacular. Buying a package ticket also allows you to visit the small fishing village!

Although the food selection is limited, it's not bad for a first-time experience. If your flight departs in the evening/early morning, it's a good option to go to the airport after work and enjoy dinner in the airport lounge.

We did the 360 cable car ride with a tour in Hong Kong and can vouch that this was an incredible experience!! Becky was our tour guide for the day and she was so funny and informative. She spoke excellent English and even got us some amazing photos!! She was happy to answer any questions and encouraged us to explore. I definitely recommend doing this package if you want to see Lantau Island!!!

When you spent your tour in the busy streets of HK, going to Lantau Island and Tai O Village is definitely a break you need from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cool and fresh air with the view of the mountains and waters. Our tour guide, Eva Charm, was one of the highlights of the tour. We departed by bus with a multinational group. Even though I can barely speak English, I found the tour guide's English a little difficult to understand, but I was impressed with how hard they were trying. We also took a cable car, and my wife really wanted to see the Tian Tan Buddha, so 5 stars for that. She took breaks along the way as she climbed the 268 steps, and was very happy to have seen the Buddha (it seems like good things happened after we returned home). And even though it was short, strolling through the town of Tai O was a very precious and enjoyable experience. We returned to the hotel by MRT. Overall, there was plenty of free time, and it was a very satisfying tour.

Known as the "Venice of the East," it truly has that kind of atmosphere. Along the way, you can see the Tai O Heritage Hotel, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge tunnel, the coastlines of mainland China and Hong Kong, and the unique stilt houses. Children love it.

The scenery is magnificent, and you can enjoy views of Lantau Island, the sea, and the Tian Tan Buddha all along the way. The view is expansive and spectacular! I recommend taking the transparent crystal cabin. It's exciting, great for photos, and the picture effect is amazing. Buying tickets online is time-saving and convenient. You can directly scan the code for admission without waiting in line for too long. The cable car ride is smooth and comfortable, and the scenery along the way is refreshing. It is very suitable for families, couples, or friends to travel together, and it is one of the must-visit experiences in Hong Kong. Highly recommended!
