An unforgettable experience at Bako National Park in Malaysia. Our local guide, Mr. Hamdini, a former park ranger in the area and originally from a village within the reserve, was simply exceptional. He knew every corner of the jungle and could identify animals just by their sounds. During the tour, we spotted vipers, macaques, proboscis monkeys, flying lemurs, wild boars, and squirrels. The tour began with a boat ride to the park, and at the end, we sailed along the coast while they explained the geography and fauna of the area. We ended the day in his village, enjoying delicious local food at a typical bar. A dream day, 100% recommended for nature lovers. Just a heads up, it's very hot: be well prepared!

This day tour to Bako National Park was incredibly well organized from start to finish. Everything was taken care of, which made it so relaxing—not having to figure out all the logistics ourselves was a big plus. Our guide was fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the park and its wildlife. The combination of hiking through the jungle and taking a boat ride added a great sense of adventure and variety to the day. We were lucky enough to see all the different types of monkeys that live in Bako, which was such a highlight! Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the beauty of Bako and learn more about the jungle without the stress of planning it all yourself.

farah watsapp me a day earlier giving info on meeting time (hotel lobby) what to bring & wear. Upon reaching Bako Terminal, we were handed over to our guide, Mr Pujang , a very well informed & experienced guide. He was very focused on spotting silver leaf monkey, proboscis monkey & bearded pig. we were led on a quite challenging Paku trail, which was exciting. Then we got into a speedboat & headed back to HQ for lunch at canteen. Two thumbs up!! 👍👍

Overall was good. Farah contacted us the day before (in the afternoon) the Bako trip. Driver Jacky was friendly and guided by Mr Bujang throughout the tour to look out for wildlife, he is very experienced, however he is soft-spoken, might not able to hear his sharings in the jungle trekking in a 15-pax join-in tour. The jungle trekking session was exhausted (make sure to bring mosquito repellents, sunscreens, enough refreshments), climbing stairs and rocks up and down, felt safer with expert tour compared with solo. The lunch was decent too, having it in a Malay restaurant just right outside the Bako Terminal.

Was a very wet and rainy day, but we were lucky to see a few animals. Trek was challenging (a lot of ups and downs over tree roots) and do not recommend for elderly or small children who are not used to hiking. Feet will get wet as have to wade in the sea to get on and off the boat.

pick up was easy and on time. the guide in the bus was helpful and knowledgeable. We were a group of 8 and were definitely blessed with the weather. Be prepared for wet feet. If the tide is low the boats drop you in shallow water and you walk. It was fun and didn’t bother us but others were less keen. The guide for the day had the knowledge but was softly spoken and didn’t engage the whole group. he didn’t really chat and at the end didn’t say goodbye. Which was both odd and rude. Wildlife wise we saw monkeys, a lemur sleeping, bearded pigs and a small snake. It’s incredibly beautiful and a great day.
