Thisntour was amazing! The staff onboard the boat provided excellent service, educational presentations and wonderful buffet food. The snorkeling was absolutely beautiful and suitable for all levels of experience. If we travel back to Cairns, we’d definitely book this same tour again.

This half day trip was a great way to get out in the water and see some sea life. We primarily visited Cairns for a larger trip we booked on the reef, but this extra half day gave us some extra time snorkelling! Saw turtles on top of the water from the boat when we arrived, though weren’t lucky enough to see them under the water. Did see a ray, a reef shark, and plenty of fish! Team were kind and helpful to and from the island. It was nice to kick back with a beverage on the return.

SCUBA diving can be a bit challenging for the first time. First, ensure the following safety measures: 1. Disclose any medications you are taking, aside from birth control or motion sickness medication. (Some chronic medications may require a doctor's authorization for diving.) 2. Allow 18 hours between a dive and flying. Service details: 1. Transportation to the pier is not included. You are responsible for getting to the pier for check-in. 2. We recommend taking motion sickness medication. If you don't have any, it is available for purchase on board. 3. A simple breakfast and lunch are provided on board. 4. Wetsuits are available for rent. 5. We provide personal fins, diving masks, and storage compartments. There are also shared life jackets available for snorkeling. After boarding and before departure, you will need to fill out a safety notice and health questionnaire. Then, our staff will explain how to use the diving equipment. Once the boat is anchored, you can snorkel and free dive from the back of the boat. SCUBA diving is done in groups. This tour includes stops at two dive sites. Before your SCUBA dive, you will practice on the side of the boat. Then, the instructor will guide you, hand-in-hand, to depths of approximately 10 meters or more. However, first-time divers are not allowed to bring photography equipment. A dive photographer will take photos for everyone. The staff are very helpful, and the Great Barrier Reef is well worth the experience.

This is probably the best tour we have ever been on! Merryn and Hayden were such great and enthusiastic crew. We saw humpback whales and then swam with turtles at two secluded spots off Hook Island! It was such an amazing day and great value for money - also felt very safe on the boat ride!

I can't speak English at all, but there were 4 or 5 Japanese staff members, so I had no problems. Since I was participating alone, I was worried, but they spoke to me several times and were very kind. There were also a few Japanese participants. It's the same boat that goes to Green Island, so it stops at Green Island first, where about 80% of the people get off. Those going to the pontoon remain on the boat and head there. The rental snorkel set and wetsuit were clean. There was curry for lunch, which suited Japanese tastes well. I was hungry after swimming, so the curry was a welcome treat. You can't see much coral at Green Island, so I recommend the pontoon for those who want to see coral reefs.

A bit oricey but definitely worth it. Seeing the Whitsundays from above is a must, or if you don't have time for a full day tour to the islands, do consider this. One of the highlights of our trip!
