Skudai

Skudai and the greater Johor Bahru area can be visited year-round. Johor's climate is equatorial with year-round warmth and rain. The driest months tend to be March to April and July to September. Major Malaysian and Singaporean school holidays in June, November, and December see higher visitor numbers from Singapore, so plan Legoland visits and hotel bookings accordingly. Weekends are busiest near the Malaysia-Singapore border crossings.

From Singapore, take the CW1 or CW2 bus from Jurong East Bus Interchange across the Second Link (Tuas) to Johor Bahru, then transfer by Grab to Skudai (about 20 to 25 minutes from the border). Alternatively, take the JB Sentral-bound Causeway Link bus, then Grab or a taxi from JB Sentral to Skudai (about 20 minutes). From Kuala Lumpur, fly into Johor Bahru's Sultan Ibrahim International Airport (JHB), which is about 30 minutes from Skudai, or take the ETS train to JB Sentral and Grab from there. Senai International Airport is just 15 minutes from Skudai.

Grab is by far the most practical way to navigate Skudai's spread-out townships. Skudai does not have a rail connection, though nearby parts of JB are served by KTM Komuter. Local buses are available but routes are not always convenient for visitors. Renting a car from JB Sentral or Senai Airport gives the most flexibility for visiting Skudai, Legoland, and Johor Premium Outlets in a single trip.

The Sutera Utama area near Sutera Mall is convenient for Skudai's main entertainment options including go-karting and escape rooms. Taman Universiti and Taman Ungku Tun Aminah offer budget-friendly guesthouses and homestays in the heart of Skudai's food scene. For more upscale options, the Johor Bahru city centre (20 to 25 minutes from Skudai) has a far wider selection of branded hotels and boutique stays. Travelers visiting LEGOLAND Malaysia often prefer to stay in Iskandar Puteri, directly adjacent to the park.
