Hongqiao station is nice and clean, many eateries open early in the morning for breakfast. Boarding also convenient, no need physical ticket just use your passport as they have all your details. Journey took about 7 hours with intermittent stops in few stations. Overall, a pleasant experience if you slow and steady journey with scenery
