Step 1: Shop & Request Your Forms
Look for the official blue Tax-Free Shopping logo at store entrances or registers. When paying, show your passport and ask the staff for a Tax Refund Application Form (境外旅客购物离境退税申请单) along with your official tax invoice (Fapiao, 发票). Double-check that your passport number and name are spelled correctly on the form!
Step 2: Check-In at the Airport
Head to the airport on your departure day and get your boarding pass at your airline check-in counter.
Pro-Tip: If your tax-free goodies are inside your checked baggage, tell the airline agent before they put your bags on the conveyer belt! You will need to bring those bags to the Customs desk for physical inspection before handing them over to check-in.
Step 3: Visit China Customs for Stamp Validation
