A peek inside Ayala Museum’s Animal Crossing Exhibit
Though International Museum Day was last May 18, Ayala Museum is celebrating all week on their social media platforms and most excitingly, on the viral Nintendo game Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
From May 20 to May 22, Ayala Museum is opening their island gates to visitors who wish to see their 3-day island exhibition. They’ll be hosting island tours, and as well as galleries featuring Filipino artists including Juan Luna, Damian Domingo and Jose Honorato Lozano. Visitors can also stop by a virtual museum shop for freebies and as well as their beachside museum cafe.
The island exhibition will be running from 2PM to 5PM on May 20, 21 and 22, 2020. Though slots have already been filled for all three days, they might be raffling off some slots each day in case they are able to accommodate any more visitors. For updates, follow Ayala Museum’s Facebook page.
If you were lucky enough to grab a slot, here are a couple reminders from Ayala Museum:
- Message their Facebook 15 minutes before your slot
- Come in Filipiniana if you can (more on this below)
- Have good, stable internet connection
- Wait for emailed souvenir at 6PM
As a courtesy to other players, also be sure to leave via airport once you’ve finished your tour.
Custom Filipino clothing by Ayala Museum and Philippine artists
Whether or not you’ve got your ticket to Ayala Museum’s island exhibition, you can still enjoy the customized clothing Ayala Museum and other Filipino artists have fashioned after Filipino textiles and our traditional costumes. For those visiting, be sure to save these designs to wear on your visit.
