Da Lat Cooking Class with Market Tour

This is the best cooking teacher I've met in Da Lat! ✨ She is an energetic single mom & market queen. I was the only student in today's class. She was not only patient with me but also took me to the market to meet her friends. Every stall owner seemed to be her good friend; she's super sociable! 🤩 In the market, she introduced me to ingredients commonly used in Vietnamese cuisine, and I learned a lot. The cooking place is also her restaurant and home, with a very cozy atmosphere. Today I made fried mushroom patties, beef curry, and fish noodle soup, especially the fried mushroom patties, which were super delicious! She not only knows how to cook but is also good at recording life, so she also knows how to share and communicate. While eating, she told me a lot about her life story. As a single mother, it's really not easy, but she is still strong, hardworking, and loves life. I believe she will only get better and better in the future! This cooking class allowed me to learn about Vietnamese cuisine and also feel her positive energy. ❤️ I highly recommend everyone to experience it. I believe you will gain as much as I did!

Son was an amazing teacher and an even more experienced chef! we met up at the designated location and discuss about our menu preference. Son was very accommodative and can even accommodate our additional menu (bun cha hanoi) which was not on the original menu. In fact you can discuss any menu with her and she will be able to make them. 😊 Then we had a detailed market tour before moving to the outdoor cooking area for our class. Throughout the session Son was very detailed and enthusiastic about every steps - a real good teacher and it was so much fun cooking with her. We made plenty of dishes and all of them tasted delicious. I really enjoyed my afternoon with Sun. The visit to the market allowed me to rediscover it from a different and interesting point of view. His pumpkin/squash soup and the shitake mushrooms stuffed with meat were particularly delicious. A 4.5 hours of fun in good company.

Son is a strong woman, serve us with a lot of laughters. She introduces different local ingredients for us in the market. Her recipes are tasty, and teach me, a cooking newbie with patience. Hope she enjoys life with her cute daughters.

The guide talks a lot, so if you don't speak English well, you might get tired, but you'll learn a lot and time will fly by. The guide is also friendly. It was a fun experience.

Mrs Son is an amazing, friendly and cheerful guide and chef! She is so knowledgeable and approachable and has such good rapport with the market sellers and Stop And Go staff (meet up point and where the cooking is done) who collectively made the tour such an enjoyable one. It made for such a pleasant experience and we had a wonderful time exploring, cooking, eating and conversing! Highly recommended!
