Reviews summaryWhen heading to Pier 7, be mindful of the time as it gets very crowded. On the pedestrian bridge, take the stairs down to the left. Going straight will lead you to the Star Ferry. After descending the stairs, turn left, and you'll see the bus stop. Ask the staff for assistance and purchase your ticket. Save the QR code to your photo album and download the Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus app. Scan the QR code into the app and show it to the staff to get priority access and board the bus first. They will give you a card as proof of priority access. You still need to queue for the bus, and the staff will ask you to scan your ticket using the app. Before boarding, the staff will collect your priority access card. You'll need to scan your ticket again using the app when you get off. You can get off at any stop. Boarding is centralized in Central to secure good seats. The whole trip is very interesting, and the H2K route goes through the underwater tunnel, which I highly recommend.
The staff are all nice and accomodating. They guide us on how to redeem our QR code from Klook. Make sure to install the HK City Bus Sightseeing to exchange your Klook voucher into a city bus voucher.
When we first reach central station, we saw a long queue was was thinking that we will have to spend at least an hour waiting but to our surprise the pass allow us to use a special lane which virtually cut the queue. Love this.
Really enjoyed it. There was no clarity on how to do it, you really dint have to go the booth itself if you just download the app and activate you own ticket via qr code, just hop on the nearest pickup point which routes are also in the app. I misunderstood the promotion though, i thought the ticket itself is B1G1, turned out its the bus route that is B1G1. Nevertheless its good
you can use the the hop on hop off features between 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (for three hours only) the whole route take us 1 hours and 50 minutes. we cannot understand the tour. there is a small monitor that isnt visible to the participants its very inconvenient for the visitors who plans to hop off. time is very short and is very inconvenient. we initially plan to hop off jordan station but instead just finish the tour because the time is very short to make a tour. need to download the app and secure passes. booth is difficult to find because its outside the pier 6
this one the wonderful experience in hk. It was very fun and unforgettable experience. touring around hongkong and kowloon at night with the open bus was a bit cold coz it’s winter time but still we enjoyed.
Riding the Peak Tram was an amazing experience! The steep climb felt like an adventure, and once we reached the top, the views of Hong Kong were absolutely stunning. I went at sunset, and watching the city light up was unforgettable. A must-do if you're visiting Hong Kong!
pros: Cheap than other hop on hop off bus. you can visit all the places in Hk with the best view. cons, you need to claim first the voucher (pink kiosk) before you allowed to ride. btw, its unlimited ride for 1 day.
It's a great way to go around HK. With our pre-purchased tickets, we were treated like VIPs & given priority to board the bus (other passengers paid when they alight at their destination). The bus captain & the staff at Citybus HK are really nice & halpful. To redeem your tickets, walk past Pier 6; you will see a pink booth by the roadside after the taxi stand. To check when the next bus is arriving, just download the Citybus app. We went early to redeem our tickets then headed over to Museum Cafe at Pier 8 for something to eat; this cafe is run by people with learning disability & the food is good. Do drop by to support them
If you wanna have a quick glance around HK, definitely do this activity. So much better at night cause you’re able to see the beautiful lights on the buildings etc. There’s a guide but they also have QR code that tells you the attractions and what not. Very efficient and easy to get around. Overall great experience.
