The Canberra day tour was a great experience! Our guide and driver, Garry, was especially friendly, and his commentary was both authentic and humorous, making the entire trip relaxed and enjoyable. We visited several famous attractions, including the Mint, major government buildings, and museums, each of which was worth seeing. If you're not planning an in-depth exploration of Australia's capital, a one-day tour like this is actually quite sufficient, saving time while still being comprehensive. The overall experience was very pleasant and highly recommended!
Tour bus left on time at 8am. There is no time for breakfast, so it is best that you have a light meal before departure. No eating allowed on the tour bus. lunch is served around 1130 in Canberra after 3.5 hours drive. Awesome view at Griffin Lake and the Australia Paliment House. Time is a bit short for photo taking considering the amount of venues we need to visit. nonetheless, a great experience overall.
A nice and must do 1-day trip to complete my 2-week of trip to Australia. Although it was a long 3.5 drive per way between Sydney and Canberra. A good delicious lunch was included in the package. We had the lunch at 11:30. So that we can do the sightseeing without any disruption. Beautiful weather, beautiful pictures.
The driver (tour guide) Jack Guo was very kind and explained in a professional and detailed manner. The schedule was also well organized. Very nice and patient to help take photos. Great day trip.
We joined a small group tour for 8 people, and the shuttle bus was very high-end. The tour guide provided a detailed introduction to Canberra's city design and architecture. The lunch was also delicious.
This trip to Canberra was the first time I used Klook. I originally planned to rent a car and drive from Sydney to Canberra by myself. The round-trip distance is nearly 600 kilometers. For a driver who is not familiar with Australia, if the average speed is 100 kilometers per hour (ie Average Speed = 100Km/h), it still takes 6 hours to drive. In the end, it was really convenient to report to the group through Klook, and it was completed in 15 minutes. To sum up the experience, joining-in tour is better than driving by yourself, because driving a car for 6 hours or more must be very tired, and there is no mood to play at all, and it is still difficult to find the way, and you may end up spending more time in traffic. If you unfortunately go the wrong way, you may not be able to reach all destinations before closing, and miss some of the target attractions. Fortunately, the tour guide's driving skills are very good, the time spent on the drive is short, and the tour guide explained to us carefully, so that the group members know a lot about the background knowledge of the Australian capital "Canberra".
The tour is great even it was delayed by the traffic jam (caused by other vehicles accident). Our guide Jackie is courteous and responsive. He adjusted the route to manage we can go to each scenic points as mentioned in the itinerary. Also he is professional and well prepared to answer questions raised by us.
Most of the time is spent on travelling, back and forth took at least 7 hours. We had a very short stop at each attraction, not enough time to see everything in the museum. but the tour guide is nice and helpful, well equipped with knowledge of australia. pls expect 70% of time on bus and 30% on foot. if you just wanna set foot on Canberra, then this is your trip.
Get on the bus at the Holiday Inn in Chinatown, and the driver and license plate number will be notified in advance. To be honest, it takes 3.5 hours to go from Sydney to Canberra one way, and 7 hours to go back and forth, so the time in Canberra is quite tight. The first stop in Canberra is to eat. The Chinese food is quite good, and the quantity is large and full. Then there are several free venues. Take a few photos and then get on the bus. The Parliament Building is the place where you stay the longest. Finally, go to Mount Ainslie and return. The tour guide and driver is a Taiwanese uncle. His organizational skills are not good, and his communication skills are also lacking. It is just an ordinary introduction, and he failed to create an atmosphere. Looking back on the itinerary, I just went there but didn’t feel anything. Finally, you have to pay a tip! It is the only Australian tour group I have participated in that states that tips are required, and it is 6 Australian dollars per person. There is no change and the uncle said that he doesn’t give change. I can’t remember who gave and who didn’t. It’s a mess...
the tour was rushed but understandable since we only had one day to tour Canberra. Ray was a really efficient guide!
