Reviews
this was one of the best things I have spent my money on. going through the cruise was such a great way to get a tour of Chicago and actually learn about the history and culture of the city through its buildings. the guide was very much a showman and truly made something educational truly fun. the views are incredible and a must gor everyone going to Chicago.
This was a fantastic tour and I learned lot of information about why city looks the way it is. Guide was very informative. We booked 7:30pm which was golden hour and saw both daylight and night views of city.
Attractions along the way: Everything is good and beautiful. Value for money: Worth visiting the city, recommended to go around 3:30 PM when the city lights are beautiful. Service: The boat departs on time. Itinerary: Very good service.
the tour guide was very welcoming and he gave us a lot of insights about the different architectures in chicago. it was a fun experience, it is one of a must see when you visit chicago.
A MUST-DO in Chicago, and I would recommend Shoreline Tours over other providers because 1) Our guide Joe was deeply passionate about the stories, and it shows - he made the river come to life and turned the city into a living museum of architecture. 2) The boat was comfortable. We passed by other tours' boats, which were so packed that the passengers looked like they were going to fall off the edge. 3) Started and ended on time. This tour changed my whole perspective of Chicago, in a good way. Recommend to time it with the golden hour for priceless skyline views (6pm slots in summer)
It was an interesting ride. The buildings were beautiful and impressive. I enjoyed learning about their history.
we have had great experiences. There are lots of things to see from the cruise. The history of the city was fascinating as well.
The klook platform is convenient for ordering and easy to use. Compared with other companies, the shipping company booked through the Klook platform has a good service attitude and will not overload the number of people, so that you can have a seat. The instructors are lively and interesting and not boring. The best time to board the ship is 17 :30,17:45 I just saw the dusk and night scenery, a good place worth recommending
Booking the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour on Klook was absolutely the best decision of this trip! The 90-minute cruise sailed along the three branches of the Chicago River, with stunning skyscrapers lining both banks. Our guide, Liam, was incredibly professional and humorous, sharing fascinating stories from Chicago's rebirth after the Great Fire of 1871 to the art of modern steel structures and glass curtain walls (like Marina City and Willis Tower). Even someone with no architectural background could thoroughly enjoy it. The views from the boat were excellent; it was convenient to either enjoy the breeze and take photos on the open-air upper deck or relax in the air-conditioned lower cabin and grab a drink. I highly recommend this classic tour to all first-time visitors to Chicago – it's not to be missed! (It would be even better if multilingual commentary were available in the future.)
Although it's a standard tour, it's an absolute must-do when visiting Chicago. The history behind each building is explained in detail, and the guide was actually quite humorous 😆. However, be mindful of the weather; it was super cold when we went in early May 🥶.
