What to expect
Departing the city, you travel about 60 km southeast toward the Marrakai wetlands, home not only to an apex predator—the crocodile—but also to 117 species of reptiles and 280 types of birds. It’s a truly exhilarating and unique experience, bringing guests up close with some of nature’s most aggressive and dangerous wildlife in the naturally occurring waterways of the Northern Territory.
Australia’s Top End is said to host over 100,000 saltwater crocodiles, mainly around the Darwin, Adelaide River, and Mary River regions. So there’s no need to worry—you’re sure to spot the world’s largest reptile and one of the oldest creatures to walk the planet since the dinosaurs. These prehistoric beasts can grow up to 6 metres long—the size of a small bus.

Reviews
A must if you travel to Darwin!! Direct pickup and drop off from your hotel. Driver gives some great insights into the history of Darwin on the way. The jumping crocs were amazing and the amount we saw was very surprising. Shoutout to The boat driver “Wookie” who was very funny and informative and also made sure to manoeuvre the boat so as everyone could see and get some great photos.
Bus Guide was pleasant and pretty much independently about to drive and provide commentary. The boat to see the crocodiles were a bit underwhelming as only 2 crocs came for feeding despite the one hour boat ride. Maybe the crocs weren't feeling hungry that morning.
