We’ll release details of confirmed trip dates at least three months before each trip. (Confirmation is subject to changes and will follow MFA’s travel advisory on Mongolia, as well as potential transit points in South Korea, Hong Kong, and China.)

When you see an expedition with confirmed trip dates you’d like to go for, let us know. You’ll then pay the remaining 50% to secure your spot in that particular expedition - at least 8 weeks before the trip.

If you can’t make it for any of our confirmed trip dates, let us know and we’ll reschedule your trip to another, suitable date.

Yes you can, just let us know. You’ll be able to go on any The Legendary Kazakh Golden Eagle Hunting Festival group expedition 1x from 2023 to 31 Dec 2024.

Cancellation charges will apply prior to the start date of the trip according to the following notice periods:

a. 4 weeks' notice or more: 50% of S$3,995 b. Between 2 to 4 weeks: 60% of S$3,995 c. Between 1 to 2 weeks: 80% of S$3,995 d. 1 week or less: 100% of S$3,995

Please note that the 50% deposit is non-refundable so cancellation charges are applied based on % of the remaining S$3,995. Therefore e.g. if you cancel 1 week before the trip, you will forfeit the full S$7,990 and e.g. if you cancel 2-4 weeks before the trip, you'll forfeit S$6,392 (60% of S$3,995 added to S$3,995).

Cancellation charges only apply if you plan on cancelling your entire trip. If you need to reschedule, let us know and we'll work it out together.

If you hold a Singapore passport, no. You’re allowed to enter and stay in Mongolia for 30 days without a visa, which is more than sufficient for our trip!

If you hold another country’s passport, you can check whether you need a visa here. If you do need a visa, let us know so we can help you out with the information required to fill it. Please note that we do not cover visa application fees.

Each expedition group is capped at 12 participants maximum, in addition to your local expedition guide and driver. You can sign up with your friends, or come solo and meet like-minded travelers! We'll organise a get-together session for the group a few weeks before the trip so don't worry. Many lifelong friendships have been formed on our expeditions.

No. There isn’t much trekking or hiking to be done (unless you want to), not even in the wilderness. Just note that: Offroad drives in the countryside can get real bumpy because the roads are unpaved, though the vehicle itself is really comfortable to ride in

Our local expedition guide, who is also an experienced cook, will prepare different types of cuisine during the trip. Try anything from traditional Mongolian food to western fare! Halal, vegetarian or vegan options are all available.

In the capital city, Ulaanbaatar, we’ll be staying in three-star hotels (twin-sharing rooms paired by gender). In the countryside, we’ll stay in guesthouses, traditional gers and camping tents. There will be beds for most nights.

Mongolia is one of the safest countries in the world for tourists. Petty theft can occasionally occur in the cities, so just be aware of your surroundings. In the countryside, your expedition guide and your driver are locals experienced in navigating, and you’ll be staying with trusted nomad families.

The currency in Mongolia is the Tulgrik (MNT). You can withdraw money at ATMs and banks in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) are accepted in many shops, sometimes even in the countryside. US dollars are accepted in some places in Ulaanbaatar as well.

We would recommend a per person cash amount of US$100-300 (based on a two-week trip duration), with the option to use credit or debit cards for big ticket items like cashmere, leather goods, musical instruments, fur or antiques.

There are no mandatory immunisations for travellers to Mongolia though you should be up-to-date with Typhoid, Tetanus, Polio and Hepatitis A. We recommend you seek advice from your local GP as to the correct immunisations and preventative treatments. You are not required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter Mongolia.

No “negative” PCR or rapid test results are required to enter Mongolia before departure. No testing is required upon arrival at the border points. No quarantine is required upon arrival either.

If you tested positive, you will be isolated in the nearest health centre and obtain treatment. Free vaccinations and treatments are available for travellers.

Tests may be required depending on which country you return to and which airline you fly with. PCR test is around 30-40USD (85000-115000 MNT) while rapid test is around 7-10USD (20000-30000 MNT). You can book mobile medical services with an additional fee in advance at your hotel.

You only need to do the arrival test if you're not fully vaccinated. Book a tele supervised ART test here in advance before your return from Mongolia.
