pretty city to visit if you don’t mind sitting in the van 4.5 hours each way.
The main issue is the return trip. It was originally estimated to be 4 hours, but the actual completion time was 5 hours. The main reason is that there were at least 3 stops for rest breaks during the return trip, and the driver was very slow; even the truck drivers next to us were faster. The final hour was only completed because the driver sped up to reach the meeting point. This time needs to be better managed, otherwise half a day is really spent on the journey. Additional note: the road conditions were good, no traffic.
The drive was very long, especially when we encountered the traffic jam that is common in Mexico City on the way back. The car was relatively small, and it felt a bit uncomfortable when it was full of people.
Good to know
- Due to government immigration regulations, all passengers must present their passport, whether physical, digital, or photocopied, which proves their legal stay in Mexico. In the event that someone does not present the physical document, it is necessary to show the passport page with the entry stamp into the country, as well as the page with the person’s data.
