Reviews summaryHad an incredible Blue Mountains day tour with Tom as our guide and driver. He was friendly, organised, and genuinely passionate about the area, which made every stop more meaningful. The views were stunning, the pacing was perfect, and Tom made the whole experience smooth and stress‑free — highly recommended.
We went during a gloomy, rainy Friday. Tour pushed through as scheduled. Ee loved seeing the koalas. The blue mountains were gorgeous. The weather was very chilly and windy. Scenic World is very nice. The cable cars are such an experience. Alfie is a great tour guide. He jokes and has a lot of energy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Blue Mountains tour with Naho as our guide and James as our driver. We arrived at each location a little earlier than scheduled, and at the first stop, Sydney Zoo, we were able to pet a kangaroo that was outside its enclosure. We also took photos with koalas, and our child was thrilled to see so many animals native to Australia. Next, we headed to Leura Village, where we had lunch at Cafe Leura, highly recommended by Naho. Our family ordered a kangaroo burger, fish and chips, gyros, and a kids' cheeseburger, all of which were delicious (it was a shame we couldn't eat ice cream afterward because the portions were so generous). We also picked up souvenirs at a famous chocolate shop. After lunch, we finally arrived at the Blue Mountains. We soaked in the magnificent scenery. The weather was beautiful, and we truly saw a stunning blue hue. Although we spent about 1 to 2 hours at each spot, Naho had provided clear explanations of the history and other details before we arrived, which allowed us to fully appreciate each location. It was a tour that left our entire family completely satisfied. We had an early start and walked quite a bit, so we slept soundly on the bus ride back.
Although it was cloudy on the day of the tour, the weather gradually improved, and we were able to see the most beautiful Blue Mountains scenery. During the tour, our guide Naho taught us many interesting things about Sydney on the bus. The beer she recommended in the town of Leura was delicious! She was also an excellent guide at the Sydney Zoo; when the wait for koala photos was long, she took us to see other attractions. Our driver, Tom, also made the trip very enjoyable by showing us scenic spots before we even arrived at Scenic World. Honestly, while the tour is a bit on the pricier side, it was incredibly fulfilling and I highly recommend it. The koalas were adorable! 🐨🐨🐨
We had a pleasant experience in this guided tour with Allen. He shared a lot of the history and culture of the places we have visited, he even shared us the hacks to avoid spending time queuing for the cable car in Blue Mountain!
I'm so glad I joined the tour; five stars isn't enough, I was extremely satisfied. Although it was cloudy and occasionally rainy on the morning of the tour, which made me a little anxious, the weather improved as the tour progressed, and I was able to enjoy the amazing scenery. More than that, I was impressed by the guide, Hide. Hide's speaking skills were outstanding, and his knowledge and experience were vast, keeping me engrossed the entire time. At the zoo, he shared the latest information, such as the recent independence of the baby koala and the Tasmanian devil's favorite hiding spots, and accurately guided us to the best spots for taking photos. Furthermore, he carefully pointed out the 'must-see' spots in the zoo and recommended routes at Scenic World in Katoomba, allowing us to maximize our enjoyment even with limited time. In many tours, you're often left to your own devices after reaching the destination, but Hide always made a point of checking in with us, even during free time, showing he cared, which gave us a great sense of security. I don't think there are many guides who value each participant as much as he does. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour. If I ever have the opportunity to visit the Blue Mountains again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose Hide's tour.
We participated in Boxing Day on December 26th. The weather was cloudy with occasional rain. Even though it was supposed to be summer in Sydney, the temperature was low and very cold (enough to see our breath). However, thanks to the wonderful support of our guide, Mayuko, we were able to efficiently and thoroughly enjoy the key spots. Since the Blue Mountains have a high altitude, I think it's a good idea to have a thick jacket, even if Sydney is warm. If you don't need it, you can leave it on the bus. The brownie at the chocolate shop in the town of Leura, where we stopped for lunch, was so delicious that I can't forget it. I would like to try again on a day with good weather.
I honestly think this Blue Mountains day trip was so much fun! I really have to give a shout-out to our guide + driver, Tom, he's such a funny guy! Along the way, besides explaining the attractions, he also shared Aboriginal stories with us. Even while driving, he would talk about little facts about eucalyptus trees. Listening to him talk was never boring~ And he knows the town of Leura so well. The restaurant he recommended was also super delicious! We went to Café Leura and had a kangaroo burger, worth a try! My favorite part of the trip was being able to hand-feed kangaroos and take photos up close with super cute koalas! At Scenic World in the Blue Mountains, we got to ride three different cable cars, seeing the Blue Mountains from different angles. The scenery was truly spectacular. And Tom even took us to some of his secret spots! Overall, it's really worth it! We had fun and it wasn't too tiring. If you want to enjoy the Blue Mountains without too much effort, I highly recommend joining this tour~
The mighty “Mr. Vegemite” ALFIE was truly the highlight of this day trip! He made the tour truly enjoyable and fun (with his jokes and fun facts— or maybe just the way he delivered it 😂). It was an amazing day trip, indeed! Blue Mountains was gorgeous, the world’s steepest railway is a must to try! Loved how spontaneous and smooth this day trip was. Kudos to Alfie and to our driver, Max!
Our recent tour to Sydney Zoo, Leura, and the Blue Mountains still good. Although it rained during our trip, our tour guide, Ricardo from Brighton, truly made our day complete. His excellent guidance and positive attitude made all the difference. Thank you and hope to see you soon.
