The main royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongbokgung is a real historical and cultural treasure. A part of the Five Grand Palaces, the structure was built all the way back in 1395 and has gone through a lot of turmoil over the years.
Changing of the Guard Ceremony – You will see the meticulously choreographed ceremony that takes place in front of Gwanghwamun Gate. This tradition originated during the Joseon Dynasty and the city decided to bring it back for reenactment in 1996.
Gyeonghoeru Pavilion can be found on the west side of the palace shortly after entering via Gwanghwamun gate.
