Nice to Meet You

Nice to meet you_1

Nurture sparks between strangers and old friends alike at Nice To Meet You, a café that has been designed to encourage interaction. Think of unexpected furnishings that require participation beyond one’s self to function, including a see-saw-turned-couple’s chair and a five-person table balanced on a set of springs.

AS106080

Pop into a flat party and quench your thirst with three cocktails made with Monkey Shoulder whisky. But you'll have to brave the wind chamber to catch your cocktail tickets!

  • Free cocktails will be given to guests
  • Guests can play in the wind chamber to collect their cocktail tickets

Dora’s Diary

AS105388

AS105397

Dora’s Diary was a room inspired by an 8-year-old girl from Shanghai. Immerse yourself in a child’s view of the world as some of her diary entries are brought to life, creating a room dedicated to journaling and diaries. In the room, there are giant diaries for guests to flip through and a whole wall of normal-sized journals, donated by the community. Guests can look through the journals and are welcomed to doodle and write in them.

  • Guests add their own entries on the different journaling books available and share their part of the story.

OUR ORIGIN STORY

In celebration of Refinery29’s 10 Year Anniversary, the first 29Rooms was launched in September 2015 as a free event, open to the public. The goal was to disrupt the exclusivity of New York Fashion Week and bring the Refinery29 brand and content to life IRL. We partnered with creative visionaries across fashion and culture including, Solange Knowles, Shantell Martin and Disney to name a few, in building an experiential journey through 29 rooms.

Since then, the exhibition has garnered attention from the masses and the media as the exhibition moved from New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. The list of collaborators have grown to include top celebrities such as Jake Gyllenhaal, RuPaul, Lizzo, as well as important organisations and movements such as Planned Parenthood and The Women's March. These past exhibitions have indeed managed to inspire the curious and evoke a sense of wonder and contemplation.

It was a fun and enjoyable interactive experience! How we the queues were quite long and had to wait an hour for the sheep exhibition. Do note no toilet in the area. Nearest toilet need to use gardens by the bay public toilet 10 mins walk away.

Review for: [March School Holidays] $13 OFF Admission Tickets

Enjoyed my experience in the 29rooms. It located inside the Gardens by the bay so you could visit them at the same day. The exhibits are more of photographic experience so people who love instagrammable photos will enjoy it.

Absolutely Amazing. I enjoyed 29Rooms a lot; each room was very interactive and some inspired deep thoughts as well. One of the most worth my money events in awhile. Thoroughly enjoyed myself there. 100% recommend.

It was lots of fun exploring the different rooms and taking time to learn about the idea behind each room's design. My favorite room is Monkey Shoulder’s party room, where one can grab a cocktail coupon to redeem a cocktail.

Not bad but klook may not be the cheapest since 29 rooms sometimes run better promo. Overall quite fun but need to wait for people take photo then your turn. If cheap is okay.

The photos taken are really ig-able. But the only problem is there are too many people and there’s not a line to every photo taking area, so you can’t really take a photo without other people inside.
