What to expect

You’ll meet up with your tour guide at Oze Coffee Shop in Goreme before setting out on a leisurely hike in Pigeon Valley. This large valley connects the towns of Goreme and Uchisar and is one of the most popular areas for hiking due to its marvelous views of the iconic pigeon houses (for which the valley was named), magnificent rock formations, and scraggly cliffs.

Learn about the history of the area and the significance of the pigeon houses from your friendly Trip Guru. After you wander around the area, you’ll have lunch in a local restaurant in Uchisar and feast on some traditional Turkish cuisine. After filling yourself with scrumptious dishes, you’ll proceed to Zemi Valley for a relaxed walk through the area.

One of the less frequented hiking trails, Zemi Valley is a lush basin with lush flora, impressive rock sculptures, cliffside caves, rock-hewn churches, and more. Explore the lovely valley and take photos of the wonderful landscapes to immortalize the day’s memorable trip.
