What to expect
Cruise out to Castaway Island on our high-speed catamaran, as we drop off/pick up passengers from other resorts enroute, then see the beauty of the resort stretching before you as you’re welcomed ashore. With 5 hours on the island, there is plenty of time to laze in the sun beneath swaying palms at one of their two beaches and enjoy snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters over coral reefs straight off the beach.
The resort features two freshwater pools, multiple bars, a boutique, island massages, and various water sports equipment (refundable deposit required). Kids Club and motorized water sports are available for an additional cost.
Food and Drinks A delicious two-course à la carte or buffet lunch is included in your day trip and drinks can be purchased at the resort

Castaway island is easily my favorite day trip. I was leaving that day but I would have even looked at staying there. everyone was so nice and catered to every guest including day guests. at one point I was looking for a shower and an employee walked me to the shower. not pointed in a direction but actually escorted me there. also this place is great for kids. at one point an employee was leading a hoard of kids around, the kids were climbing all over him and having the greatest time.
This was the most memorable experience of our trip 🌸 The staff on the island were incredibly kind — they told us where it was safe to swim, and even I, who can barely swim, was able to enjoy it with peace of mind. The banana boat ride (extra charge) was so much fun! Even just 15 minutes was enough to go all the way around Castaway Island — it was exciting and totally worth it. Highly recommended! If you’ve seen the movie Cast Away, you can also take a photo with the famous ball! (Apparently, the actual filming location is a nearby smaller island — that’s what the staff told us.) We didn’t expect much from the lunch, but it was actually pretty decent 🍔 People in Fiji are very kind to tourists, and I think both couples and families can feel safe and have a great time here.
