Sumida Aquarium Ticket in Tokyo

Excellent addition to a Skytree visit! After going up the tower, we spent a lovely afternoon at the aquarium. The compact size actually works in its favor - no exhaustion from walking miles like some larger aquariums. Highlights were definitely the jellyfish exhibits and the playful penguins. Modern, well-maintained facility with a peaceful ambiance. English information available. A refreshing indoor activity that breaks up all the temple and shrine visits!

It is my first time going in an Aquarium so I was hyped. We were already here at 9 am. The staff were very friendly. It was easy to use the ticket if you bought it on Klook. The staff will guide you on how to do it. The place is very pretty. It wasn't crowded because we were early. I really love the jellyfish 🪼. All of other animals like the seal and penguin, it was my first time seeing it in person. I love the vibes of the place. The place is not that large so you will be able to tour the place for about an hour or two hours. Overall, we enjoyed the place.

I visited Sumida Aquarium with my two young kids (ages 5 and 2), and overall it was a pleasant but slightly underwhelming experience. The aquarium is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, which makes it convenient when visiting with children. The standout highlight was definitely the penguin exhibit—they are clearly the centerpiece and were very engaging to watch. The sea otters were also a big hit, especially during feeding time when the keepers interacted with them on the platform. My kids really enjoyed that. There are a variety of exhibits including fish, sharks, stingrays, and jellyfish, all nicely presented in modern tanks. However, the overall size of the aquarium is quite small, and we found that we went through everything fairly quickly. Because of that, the kids started to lose interest sooner than expected. Considering the price, it did not feel like the best value compared to larger aquariums. It is still worth a visit if you are already in the Skytree area.

Absolutely worth the visit. I enjoyed every part of the aquarium—the penguins, seals, jellyfish, garden eels, and all the beautiful fish. Booking tickets through Klook helped my family and me skip the extremely long queues, especially during Golden Week. We arrived around 16:00; it was quite busy, but still a lot of fun. Be sure to bring a good camera—you won’t want to miss capturing the experience.

Really nice aquarium and a great little experience in Tokyo. The fish and jellyfish displays were beautiful, but the best part was definitely seeing the penguins up close — it felt really intimate and special watching them swim around right in front of you. Super relaxing atmosphere and worth visiting if you’re in the area 🐧🐠

We stopped by Tokyo Solamachi originally just to shop and browse around. There’s so much to see and the options are endless, I saw there was an aquarium and decided to pay a visit. I saw they had tickets and klook and literally booked them seconds before we wanted to go. It was super easy to book and there was even a little discount for the tickets and confirmation came instantly! Make sure not to confirm the tickets until you actually step inside! It’s a small aquarium given that it’s indoor but there’s a bunch of fun exhibits throughout! There was a snack shop inside with a bunch of sitting on the lower level and even a cute gift shop at the end! Definitely worth a visit!!

I'd recommend booking the earliest time - 10am - as that's when they open. You essentially get the whole place to yourself & it's a pretty small aquarium so you can tour the place freely. It's not got a huge amount of things to see, but highlights were the penguins and seals. There's also a café (which I didn't buy from) and a decently-sized shop at the exit which carries all the souvenirs and plushes one could ask for from a small-sized aquarium. I was able to see everything in just 30 mins, so I'm not sure it was fully worth the price of entry, but I'm not mad about it as it was a nice start to the day before heading to the shops & SkyTree. Booking with Klook was simple too - just tell the attendant "Klook (kurooku) de yoyaku shimashita" and they will direct you to a separate line inside to the right of the entrabce. Make sure you DON'T touch the thing that looks like a peel-off sticker on the ticket page as that's for the attendant to use and confirm your entry. Have fun and relax!

Whether you're traveling with kids or just want a slower-paced break from Tokyo’s busy streets, Sumida Aquarium offers a fun and heartwarming stop. Plus, penguins—what more do you need? 🐧

An amazing place, highly recommended for those with kids. The aquarium design is very elaborate, featuring an open penguin habitat and an impressive aquarium. Coupled with the Skytree, the dining and shopping options in the mall are also great 👍👍👍
