Reviews
Reviews summaryThe tour guide was very considerate and kept giving us water, fearing that we would be dehydrated. The trip was very smooth, and we spent five hours in the park and hiked, which was very enjoyable. Even if there were delays, it was mostly due to group members not following the rules. I would like to give a thumbs up to the hard-working tour guide!
Really easy and punctual! The tour has multiple stops at bathrooms and grocery stores so it was extremely comfortable. There was also sufficient time for us to do our own exploring. Our guide also explained some of the history of Yosemite and San Francisco - highly recommended!
It was a great experience for me, the driver and guide were cheerful and told me stories along the way about San Francisco and Yosemite National Park. This trip was fun and worth it, I will definitely go again.
It was a wonderful trip. We drove for 6 hours, walked around for 3 hours, and then drove back. The walking time was short but it was worth it. The view along the way was beautiful. I wanted to sit at the front to take pictures of the road. The guide stopped along the way to buy food. It was not difficult to endure hunger. The trip was great.
The tour was punctual, and our bus driver, Gerry, was fantastic! He was easy to communicate with, clear in his instructions, and had a great sense of humor. Gerry shared lots of interesting insights about the places we visited, making the journey both fun and informative. We initially expected colder weather, but it turned out to be pleasantly warm, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a well-organized and memorable trip!
everything was smooth! i love the itinerary. it was a long ride but still we get to enjoy yosemite in what our time could allow. the tour guide was great. one of the best we’ve had in all our travels. i recommend this trip!
Breathtaking views. Yosemite falls weren't in full swing during the September month, so I advice anyone to preferably not come in September. Still an incredible experience soaking in those giant granite mountains though!
I happened to meet an energetic driver and tour guide who introduced each scenic spot in English along the way. Although my English listening skills are not that good, I also said that I could feel the enthusiasm of the driver. When I arrived at the national park, I stopped at several scenic spots for everyone to take pictures, but It would be better if you can stay for more than 5-10 minutes. You can stay at a fixed point in the park for about 3 hours. It seems like a lot of time, but it is still not enough. If you can stay at the visitor center and match it with the shuttle bus in the park, you can Passengers have higher mobility; however, in order to allow passengers to see different scenery, the driver and tour guide also choose a different road on the return trip. The scenery on that road is also very good. On the round trip, the driver arranges to buy lunch and dinner at the rest stop. , very considerate, and overall a great and happy trip.
The meeting place was unclear and I didn’t see any relevant landmarks, but luckily I happened to meet someone who was going to Yosemite together near the ride address so I didn’t miss the ride. The driver and tour guide introduced relevant attractions along the way. On the way out and back, we would stop at Safeway to let us go to the toilet and buy things. Every time we were released at a designated location, we would agree on the driving time with the passengers to remind everyone not to be late. It had just snowed in Yosemite on January 14, 2024, there was sunshine, and the rivers were not frozen. It was exactly the scenery I expected. I saw most of the famous attractions, and it was a worthwhile trip! Due to a traffic jam at the ticket office at the entrance, the original three hours of free time was reduced to two and a half hours. The driver suggested a tour route based on the actual situation. Travelers also abided by the departure time and returned to Union Square at about 8:30 in the evening. It was very suitable for those who didn’t have a tour. If you are looking for transportation, this trip is highly recommended!
Yosemite was truly a wonderful gift from Mother Nature. Definitely a must go if you have some time in SFO. It takes up a whole day but so worth it. I have research on quite a number of Yosemite tour offered by different tour agency but ultimately settled with gray line due to good reviews. The whole tour experience provided by gray line was perfect ranging from comfort to guide to attractions. Our guide Bryan was amazing and funny, he keeps the mood on the entire trip light hearted and pointed amazing details which I would have never spot by myself - the snoopy! Also the tour bus was huge, comfortable and smooth ride by our driver DJ. There were 3 hrs of free time once you are at Yosemite. It wasn’t enough to make a to and fro trip to the mirror lake but otherwise you can still visit the lower falls, meadows and the surrounding area. Would definitely come back to Yosemite for more!
