It was a really amazing experience to visit wildlife animals!! Our tour guide Mr Robert is a knowledgeable, friendly and helpful tour guide! He explained a lot information to us! I am glad that I have joined this trip!
For those whose loves nature and wish to bust out of the city area, this is the place to come too. It was my first experience exploring Borneo and I am totally impressed as I am a city girl with less knowledge about the wilds in the jungle. I had no complaints on their foods, accommodation and services from this tour agency. I would love to say thanks to my tour guide, Ms. Bennie for giving us information about her beautiful hometown. Thanks Bennie! ❤️
The tour corresponds to the description. We were very lucky, we went in a small group, first the two of us on the first day, on the second and third days the four of us. The orangutans left the greatest impression. We enjoyed watching them in the feeding area. The sun bears did not make such an impression. Still, they are further from people. We were very lucky with our guide; Benny accompanied us all the way. Exceptionally erudite and very friendly. I also liked the trip to the river, we went on a boat three times, we saw a lot of birds and monkeys. On our morning walk we managed to see small crocodiles. We didn't go for night walks. During the day we saw only the local guinea fowl with a red tail. The hotel on the river had very good cuisine, everything was tasty and there was enough fruit. Tea, coffee, water are available around the clock. You need to be prepared that they do not accept cash. And at the hotel you need to pay a tourist tax per room in the amount of 10 ringgit per night. From the comments - I would like the towels to be changed every day. They don't have time to dry. It’s worth taking rubber boots, there’s still a lot of dirt on the ground, but I don’t see the point in leech socks. And again you need to pay 5 ringgit for boots and socks, if you take them. At the Sepilok jungle resort, the food was extremely tasteless, the watermelon was often sour, the cucumbers and tomatoes too, even the chicken seemed to be rotten at first, and then it was cooked(. For lunch and dinner there was a choice from the menu. They took mostly local dishes, not tasty. There is a main a swimming pool with a normal depth of up to 160cm, a small pool with a jacuzzi, a small children's pool with a slide. It's bad that the second day is half empty. The pillows are very hard. There are no shampoos, only a single product for all purposes) Overall, an impression
We were not aware that the hotel at Kinabatangan river was located more than 2 hours away from Sandakan airport & booked an early morning flight to depart on the last day. Fortunately, Ms Tiffany from the travel agent swiftly rearranged our tour so we could catch our flight home without missing any of the activities. We truly enjoyed the river cruise with our guide, Mr Terence, who is an easy going person with great sense of humour & impressive knowledge of the jungle & animals inhabiting it. The hotel room is very clean & the staff made us feel at home as soon as we stepped out from the boat to the reception area. Highly recommended getaway destination from the hustle & bustle of city life and gadget fasting with limited wifi there. Just a word of caution when you are in Sepilok. The grab drivers from Sepilok will not take you to town unless you agree to a round trip at exorbitant price. We managed to get the hotel reception to arrange their in house driver to take us to Sandakan at a reasonable rate.
We saw a lot of Borneo animals. Sandakan itself has done a good job in nature conservation, and many wild animals are at ease here. It is recommended to bring a telephoto lens, mosquito repellent, raincoat and shoe covers. Our plane arrived at the airport at around 7 o'clock, and the travel agency specially arranged to pick us up at the airport. When we left, because the flight time was 10 o'clock, they also specially arranged a car to take us. We shared a car with another family and paid 250 Malaysian ringgits. Bilit's night trip was adjusted to 20 Malaysian ringgits per hour. The whole itinerary was very easy, except that we had to get up very early and take the boat at 6 o'clock in the morning.
The guide was very responsible and led us through the entire journey. The 4D3N trip was very lucky, and we saw rare animals such as helmeted hornbills, Malay hornbills, palm civets, and civets. I experienced the unique charm of Borneo and satisfied all my fantasies about the rainforest. If I have to give a suggestion, it is to arrange some itineraries in the afternoon and evening of the first day.
Unforgettable experience. My guide Fazley went above and beyond. Truly made the experience even more elevated. It was absolutely brilliant. I felt really welcome and taken care of, everything from the food, accommodation to the tours.
5/5 tour all round. I would recommend the extra few days to see different animals. Highly recommend this tour!! Thank you to our guide Ray who helped with everything would recommend him, the staff at the Bilit lodge and the staff at sepilok They were so kind. Food was unbelievable! Our boat driver for the river cruise was also very good spotting everything . Thank you , great bunch :)
Amazing 4 day-trip, our guide Mr Sharul was absolutely brilliant. We saw many wildlife at Kinabatangan River, including orangutans, crocodiles, hornbills and so many proboscis monkeys.
We had a great time with this package. From the start communication about the booking was great and during the tour everything went smoothly. Our guides Johny and Robert in Sepilok and RDC were great. The host Tiffany at Bilit was spectacular and should be winning awards for hospitality. The program at Bilit itself was packed enough with activities but also had enough rest time. The food served was superb considering you're in the jungle. We got to see all the animals we came to see, and enjoyed all our days on this package.
