Had a blast at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich! It's totally worth a visit if you're in London. You can see the Prime Meridian, learn about astronomy, watch a Planetarium show, and get amazing views of the city. Just don't forget to bring your camera!
You must print out the tickets for the admission and better have your own copy inside your electronic device. There are two buildings to discover the time. There are also Greenwich Castle, Maritime Museum & Ship (all is free admission except the ship) for you to discover in Greenwich.
Interesting and worth a visit. Recommended if you’re interested in astronomy and the historical evolution of time measurement. The observatory is located in the middle of Greenwich park and you get a nice view of the city too.
I bought the planetarium + Cutty Sark package. I really like it. Greenwich is a very beautiful and comfortable place. Unfortunately, I don’t know if it is due to the epidemic. There is no guide machine provided. You have to download the guide at the entrance. app, but that app is super difficult to use, so I don’t have a clear understanding of all the items on display, which is a pity. There is also a bunker in front of Cutty Sark, which is the entrance to the tunnel under the river.
This is a really awesome experience. If you are interested in the history of the royal observatory, you should definitely buy these tickets via Klook. We strongly recommend it!
When I placed an order from klook, I didn't pay special attention to the order name. When I arrived at the scene, the observatory counter couldn't find my order, and they didn't know much about klook's backend system information. I even showed them my card swiping records. It took half an hour to let me in. Putting this issue aside, the staff at the observatory are very patient and helpful. The information in the entire museum is very clear, the route introduction is great, and you can also see the city view of Greenwich!
It was very good bargain. We just purchase one night before. Had to print out the voucher. But they could not scan the QR code to access directly and had to go to ticket counter to issue real tickets. Good thing there was no queue early in the morning.
A visit to the Greenwich Observatory can see the living area of the Royal Astronomers and the 8-cornered hall where the planets are studied. At that time, the first clock that could run accurately at sea - the H4 ocean timer and the largest refractor telescope in the UK are here. The most important thing to come here is to look at the 0 degree longitude of the prime meridian, and the visit time can be taken for 2 hours.
