Review for: Doi Inthanon National Park Day Tour (Meet up at Mcdonald's Tha Pae)

I had a wonderful full-day tour at Doi Inthanon National Park with our guide Goi, who was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. We started at the waterfalls, still beautiful in April’s dry season, though even fuller from May–July. Visiting the Karen Hill tribe was a meaningful highlight as we saw their way of life and how women create handicrafts, and were able to support them by purchasing local goods. This sustainable tourism aspect was truly special and commendable. Lunch was simple, homey, and enjoyable in a communal setting. We then reached the highest point in Chiang Mai, enjoying the cool weather, before visiting the stunning King and Queen Pagodas with breathtaking views and beautiful gardens. The tour was well organised overall, though the vehicle could be cooler at the back. Highly recommended!

Review for: Doi Inthanon National Park Full-Day Small Group Tour

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This tour was honestly one of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guide was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly, funny, and kept everyone entertained from the moment we got on the bus. Even when the weather on the mountain decided to be dramatic 🌧️, the guide somehow still made the day so enjoyable. We joked that we came to see the highest point in Thailand… and the clouds and rain said, “Not today!” 😂 But honestly, it didn’t even matter. The waterfalls, nature, fresh air, and the fun atmosphere made it a memorable experience. Sometimes the best travel memories come from things not going according to plan. The itinerary was well organized, transportation was comfortable, and we never felt rushed. If you’re worried about the weather, don’t be, it changes all the time. Highly recommend this tour! Just pack a light jacket (It gets cold at the top), an umbrella, a sense of humor, and maybe politely ask the weather to take a coffee break. ☁️

Review for: Doi Inthanon National Park Day Tour (Meet up at Mcdonald's Tha Pae)

The tour group is part of a very big professional tour company going every day to the park, and everything is like clockwork. It was reasonably well organized with a few painless 'product placement stops on the way. The sights were definitely worth it.

The tour is a must do when in Chiang Mai. Entire itinerary is planned well yet allows you enough time at all the attractions. We did 2 waterfalls, Tea and coffee tasting, Highest point, Twing Pagodas and a market visit. The lunch was simple yet filling. Our guide Amy was friendly. For me Wachiratan Waterfall was the highlight of the tour for me. The misty air translates into ever-changing rainbow. The tour started on time and ended as per schedule. The transport was good. No bumpy roads or anything like it. All in all it was a day well spent.

Highly recommended tourist attractions and itineraries. The business provides a small bus that can seat 12 passengers, avoiding the crowds and discomfort of large buses. / First stop is Mae Klang Waterfall, a well-known and easily accessible attraction within Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The waterfall is approximately 100 meters high, with water cascading down the rocks to form pools, offering natural beauty that tourists can enjoy near the entrance of the national park. / Next, we arrive at Wachirathan Waterfall, a famous attraction in Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is known for its powerful water flow and rainbows in the mist, serving as an important stop on the way to the summit of Doi Inthanon. The waterfall is approximately 40-70 meters high, with abundant water vapor, allowing visitors to experience the power of nature up close, making it a popular choice for exploring the scenic beauty of northern Thailand's mountains and forests. / Then, we visit the Karen tribe village of Ban Mae Klang Luang, learning how to weave local fabrics using traditional handicrafts, tasting locally grown coffee, and experiencing the slow pace and simple charm of the northern Thai mountains in this nearby village. / After lunch, we head to Doi Inthanon National Park, one of Thailand's most famous and beautiful national parks, located in Chiang Mai Province. It boasts Thailand's highest peak (Doi Inthanon, 2565 meters), known for its cool climate, magnificent waterfalls, misty natural scenery, rich ecology, and iconic King and Queen Pagodas, making it a must-visit attraction in northern Thailand. Main attractions and features: Thailand's highest peak (Doi Inthanon): The heart of the park, with fresh air and temperatures about 10 degrees lower than in Chiang Mai city. King & Queen's Chedis: Built to commemorate King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit, offering stunning panoramic views of the park. / On the return journey, we pass through the Hmong community market in Thailand and sample Hmong specialties such as grilled Baba, a food made by wrapping glutinous rice in leaves and baking it, usually called "Zong Baba" (or grilled Baba, leaf-wrapped glutinous rice). Wrapping leaves: Fresh tung leaves, banana leaves, or Zong leaves are commonly used for wrapping. The leaves not only prevent the glutinous rice from sticking but also emit a unique plant fragrance when baked. Cooking method: In Hmong villages, the wrapped glutinous rice cakes are often baked directly next to a charcoal fire or buried in hot ash to cook. After baking, the outer skin is slightly焦, and the inside is soft and glutinous. / A very fulfilling and memorable tourist destination.

Pick up was straightforward - guide Mint will call out name so you won't miss the bus as long as u reach there on time. He gave a breakdown of the schedule so you know what to expect. Itinerary may change up, especially during peak season, but will still get to go every stop in the package. Mae Klang Waterfall was pretty but Wachirathan Waterfall was just spectacular. You will be sprayed, but it's the largest waterfall in the mountain so why not. At the Karen Hill Tribe Village, we tasted Arabica coffee, cascara drink, mixed flowers & butterfly blue pea tea. The walk around the village was scenic + there's no hard sell of items. Lunch service was fast. Thankful people were willing to queue to take pics at the highest peak of Thailand spot compared to the coin wishing stone! Weather is cooling up there. To get to the twin pagodas, have to take the songtaew instead of own tour van. Mountain views were lovely. There is a flower garden too. Hmong Community Market lets u try local delights.

Here’s a concise and helpful review of your Doi Inthanon tour, under 1000 characters: ⸻ A well-organised and enjoyable day trip to Doi Inthanon. We were picked up on time and had an exceptional, informative guide throughout. The itinerary included two stunning waterfalls, a visit to a Karen village where we sampled local coffee, a scenic lunch spot, and finally a trip to the summit of Doi Inthanon and the twin pagodas. Although the afternoon weather wasn’t ideal, the experience was still very worthwhile. The only downside was the waiting at each stop while the guide explained things — this could have been done in the car to save time. Overall, a great way to explore the highlights of Doi Inthanon in a single day.

We were picked up by the tour guide Khan at exactly 810AM then fetched a family of 6 and continued our journey 1st to the wonderful waterfalls we were given ample time to explore and appreciate them. it’s timely to have our lunch while it’s heavily raining during the afternoon so we don’t waste our time 🙂the Do Inthanon mountain trip was the highlight ofcourse - very cool location and we were very amazed by the artwork/design of the Twin Pagoda. Don’t miss out this trip!

Our guide Alex is a funny guy that makes the trip interesting. and he share with us the history and explained in details. I wish the stay at at the national park pagodas can be longer as 40mins is quite short. perhaps cut down one of the waterfall. Since the pagoda is the main attraction.

Review for: Doi Inthanon National Park Day Tour (Meet up at Mcdonald's Tha Pae)

The meeting point is at Peta Gate. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the ancient city of Chiang Mai Temple. The bus left on time, but I found out that he was actually continuing to pick up other guests. Then I realized that klook cooperated with the local Wendy travel agency. If you make a reservation with the local, It is more convenient to pick up and drop off directly at the hotel. The waterfall on this trip is very interesting, but you will get wet as soon as you get close to it. Remember to bring an umbrella or a raincoat. Lunch is very simple. Everyone gathers in a local shop to eat three dishes and one soup. You can add more It’s free, and the taste is very ordinary. The route of the Twin Towers National Park is very simple. If you walk carefully, you can visit both towers in 30 minutes. There are escalators to go up the stairs, but you need to climb the stairs yourself. People with bad knees should consider coming here. It’s best to go together as two people and wear nice clothes. The gardens of the Queen’s Tower are really great for taking pictures. On the way back, the tour guide asked us where we were staying in the ancient city. We were sent back to the hotel along the way. It was very considerate and did not force us to leave a tip. , only Westerners tip, and he doesn’t care.
