Everest Base Camp: Trek, Mountain Flight or Helicopter Tour

I have always been curious about Nepal and its beauty. this trip has finally answered that question of mine and grow my curiousity even further to know more about Nepal and its beauty. I will definitely be back. truly enjoyed the trip because of Epic Adventures Pvt Ltd guide, Mr Gyanashwor and his two porters, Sanjaya and Vhola. They have made the trip a lot more enjoyable with their hospitality to welcome foreigners like myself to experience their culture. Love every bit of it.

I'm from Macau, and I'm writing this review in Cantonese. This EBC trek has opened my eyes to a new understanding of mountain trekking. The biggest surprise was meeting a great guide, Nima. He taught me a lot about mountaineering techniques on this trip and carefully explained every landscape and every detail. He is a very gentlemanly person. It is my honor to have met such a good guide. The food and lodging arrangements were also excellent. In addition, Epic Adventure Company arranged for a colleague to meet me at my hotel on my first day in Kathmandu to carefully explain all the details and precautions of the entire trip. The next day, they also arranged for a car to take me to Kathmandu Airport to fly to Lukla. The service was excellent. A very unforgettable journey!

I finally get to tick off EBC from my bucket list! I wanted to experience EBC trekking for a long time and decided to go with Epic Adventures on 24 July 2024. The booking and arrangements were smooth and straightforward. I highly recommend Epic Adventures for the EBC trek! I was lucky to have Nima as my guide. He is very knowledgeable and fluent in English. I learned a lot from him throughout my trip. Nima is very professional as a guide and explained everything thoroughly during my trek. Trekking with Nima was insightful and rewarding. I gained a lot of knowledge about mountaineering in the Himalayas, as well as the culture and history of Nepal. Nima is a very caring guide. He ensured my personal safety throughout the trek, frequently checking on how I felt. He provided great advice on how to acclimatize to the high altitude. I was a bit worried about acclimatizing well, but with Nima’s care and guidance, I felt more assured that everything would go smoothly. Nima was not just a guide during the trip; he became a great friend and buddy. I went on the trip solo and was lucky to meet Nima, who is cheerful and willing to share. I had lots of great conversations and fun with him and truly enjoyed myself! I am fortunate to have chosen Epic Adventures and had Nima as my guide, making my EBC trek so memorable. I am thankful to Nima for taking such good care of me throughout the trip and making my EBC trek a success.

Overall it was a good experience being able to hike all the way to EBC - our end goal. Our guide OM was very sincere, patient and always communicated with us very clearly. He also taught us some local lingo :) He and our other guide, Suren, that was based in Kathmandu as we hiked, was also very helpful in assisting us when we required assistance from our insurance provider. Om was also very kind to tell us what food we should or shouldn’t eat up in the mountains to prevent us from getting sick before reaching EBC. We thought that was very kind of him!! Thanks so much to Om, our porter and Suren for making this trip a fuss free and memorable one! ☺️😉

This is like a dream came true to me! I’d love to thank my tour guide Nima for always taking care of me during the trekking journey. He is like a Ironman, despite the nasty weather during winter season he always looks strong and fit. Always offered his kind help to take my heavy bottles and making sure I’m always in good condition. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone for an adventure of a lifetime. Came here solo. Experience was great, really enjoyed my time here in the EBC. Guide Nima was really friendly and knowledgeable, would highly recommend this package to anyone. Communications with the agency was seamless. Throughout the trek, managed to capture views of many amazing mountains. Weather during the December period was great as well. Nima constantly checks for my condition with regards to acclimatising to the high altitude. It’s by far my most memorable solo travel experience. Really grateful to Nima for being such a caring and empathetic guide :)

Let me start off by first saying it’s an awesome experience that you should definitely go for! The trek during October has perfect weather (12 days all sunny). The views are as imagined and breathtakingly beautiful at every turn. The accommodations provided by Ram Kumar are always great where available(manage your expectation as at higher altitude they are all pretty basic). Ram(@moution_guide) is an awesome guide that makes the trip not only enjoyable but as safe as it can be. He makes sure everyone is comfortable and ensures you know what can be done and what is unsafe. He keeps tabs on your health condition as you go up the mountain and his excellent explanation along the way makes the trip not only entertaining but knowledgeable as well. Side note about the company Kathmandu adventures/Epic adventures. Be sure to read the fine print as the company did not provide some of the items that were suppose to be included in the package -Return Flight to Lukla from Kathmandu(we only got the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight from Lukla back was to Ramechhapp followed by a 5 hour ride in a van full of strangers) -No tea/coffee as part of the package(it’s like $1.5 per cup all the way up to $5 per cup at the last tea house. For the group of 5 of us that’s abt $200 dollars) -No welcome dinner. But at least there was a farewell dinner

One of the most amazing and adventurous trips I have done in my life. Epic Adventures provided a very welcoming dinner and introduction of the trek and what to expect. Communications with them in WhatsApp is very smooth and fast. The views during the trek was out of this world! We get to see many snow capped mountains - Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Lobuche and many more. These sceneries definitely makes the trekking worth it. Raj Kumar was our tour guide. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the Himalayan mountain range. He constantly checks on our conditions and whether we are feeling good because we are in very high altitude. When I was sick on the way back from the trek, he was very quick to reach out to his connections and managed to secure a heli service arrange for us quickly. 10/10 recommended to request for him as a guide.
