- Visitors can learn about Gandhi’s final days at Gandhi Smriti, where he spent his last 144 days. See his preserved room, personal belongings, and prayer ground while following the path he took to his final prayer meeting
- A half to full day is generally recommended to comfortably visit all three sites, explore the exhibits, and learn about Gandhi’s life and legacy without feeling rushed
- The museum features Gandhi’s personal belongings, including his spectacles, charkha, and sandals, along with rare photographs, letters, documents, and exhibits about India’s independence movement
- Raj Ghat marks the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi and serves as a peaceful place to remember his life, legacy, and message of peace and non-violence
- Visitors can learn about Gandhi’s principles of Satyagraha, truth, non-violence, simplicity, and self-sufficiency, and how these ideas influenced India’s independence movement and global civil rights movements
- Small groups provide a more personal experience, allowing visitors to hear the guide clearly, ask questions, and reflect on the historical significance of each site with fewer distractions
