Whitewater rafting should be the perfect experience for this hot summer. Departing from Zhangjiajie, the operator arranges a dedicated car for pick-up and drop-off, and tourists aged 3 to 60 can participate.
Not only can you experience the fun of whitewater rafting and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the canyon and both banks of the river, but you can also have water fights with other tourists. It's cool, fun, thrilling but safe, and leaves a lasting impression.
Mengdong River rafting is known as the "No. 1 Rafting in the World." The rafting route is 17 kilometers long, and the rafting time is about 3 hours.

What to expect

Communicate with the merchant one day before the activity to confirm itinerary information. On the day of the activity, the merchant will arrange a special car to pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. The driver will take you to the scenic spot entrance and help you get your tickets. After the activity, you will be sent back to the hotel.
The Mengdong River rafting route is 17 kilometers long, and the rafting takes 2.5 hours. The mountains on both sides are numerous, and the scenery is beautiful, making it a feast for the eyes. The lush greenery, chirping birds, and ethereal sound of the water, combined with the wild wind of the canyon, will rush towards you, immersing every inch of your skin. Pick up your phone to capture happy moments, pick up your water gun to fight alongside your comrades, and treat the cool river water as your gift, splashing it on the boys and girls in the opposite boat. The sunlight is shattered by the dense green branches, like ancient coins, dancing on the somewhat bluish-green river, shimmering with an ancient luster. Beaches, pebbles, mugwort, cattails, fishing songs, and wild flowing water all remind you in the simplest and most direct way: get on the rubber boat and drift towards mystery, towards places where the tendrils of your thoughts have not yet reached. Turn one hundred and fifty-five bends, shuttle through one hundred and thirty-three shoals, meander and linger, exhilarating and refreshing.
After disembarking, take the scenic shuttle bus back to the starting point, and shower and change clothes at the visitor center. Finally, our dedicated driver will take you back to the hotel to rest.
