Shuanglin Temple

Shuanglin Temple is an ancient temple listed in the "World Heritage List" along with attractions such as the Pingyao Ancient City Wall and Zhenguo Temple. The most precious items inside the temple are the sculptures made entirely of wood and clay, which embody the essence of colored sculptures from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The Thousand-Hand Guanyin in the Bodhisattva Hall is of a very high artistic standard. She sits gracefully and elegantly before a wall of green, with a gentle and serene expression. Each arm is sculpted to be round and full, with proportions that are just right for the body, without any stiffness or artificiality, achieving a harmonious and perfect realm in the art of sculpture.
