Mosi-oa-Tunya Walking Safari - Game Drive and White Rhino
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park sits right on the edge of Livingstone, Zambia, along the banks of the Zambezi River.
The tour runs three hours and combines two distinct activities. First, an open 4x4 game drive along the Zambezi riverine woodland giraffes, zebras, warthogs, antelopes, and depending on the season, elephants and hippos visible from the vehicle. After the game drive and a short rest stop with snacks and drinks by the river, armed national park rangers join for the walking safari section. On foot, in open terrain, tracking white rhinos at close range. Very few places in Africa offer this kind of access this close to a tourism hub. Snacks, soft drinks, and bottled water included. National park and entry fees included.
What to expect
Maano Adventures runs one of Livingstone's best white rhino walking safaris, tracking Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park's protected white rhino on foot alongside an armed park ranger.
This Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park safari starts with a game drive along the Zambezi River, where you may spot zebras, giraffes, antelope, warthogs, and possibly elephants or hippos. It continues with a genuine rhino walking safari, accompanied by experienced rangers - one of very few places where travellers can approach white rhino on foot rather than from a vehicle.
It's one of the most popular white rhino walking safaris in the region, with pickup available for travellers based in Livingstone, across the border in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, or in Kasane, Botswana.
