Hamburg 1-Hour Harbor and Speicherstadt Cruise

Let me first explain that there is no transfer or tour guide on this trip! The biggest advantage is that it is very convenient to buy it and use it immediately. However, there is a captain and tour guide on the boat who speaks German. It is recommended for tourists who just want to take a boat to see the scenery and browse the city scenery, and do not mind if the tour guide is only in German. It’s cheaper than buying tickets on site. We arrived too late and only had 1 hour left. Otherwise, I would definitely choose 2 hours (because there’s not much $$ difference). When we get to the Elb Concert Hall, we will stop to give tourists time to take photos.

Take a small boat tour around the Hamburg Port, with beautiful scenery along the way, including the Beiyi Philharmonic Hall, the Warehouse City and the Hamburg Port Terminal. These attractions are all part of the one-hour cruise.

The meeting point provided by Klook is just the information booth for the barge company. From there, they will direct you towards the harbor where someone will check your tickets. The scheduled departure time was 6:00 PM, but it actually departed at 6:30 PM. You might as well head up early to snag a good spot. As for the tour, although it was in German, using ChatGPT for real-time interpretation made it understandable, and the content was quite humorous.

All in all, it was an interesting harbor tour. We even got to see the Aida cruise ship departing and one of the largest container ships.

Booking was easy and the price was good. The tour was very entertaining. I can only recommend it.

Nice activity however it was a little difficult for me to follow because there was no clear instruction on how to go from the kiosk to the boat. Going inside I felt lost as well because I was maybe expecting like the usual boat cruise with seats in rows and not a sit down restaurant style. Didn’t also get the chance for the English guided tour so couldn’t understand a word the guide was saying. Ordered gluhwein and enjoyed it.

The flight was scheduled to arrive at Hamburg Airport around 2 p.m., so we planned to check in at the hotel and then head to the cruise. However, due to problems with the flight being delayed and our luggage not arriving, we ended up leaving Hamburg Airport after 5 p.m. We went directly there, but arrived at the dock at exactly 6 p.m. We had given up on the last hour-long ride, but with a faint hope that the departure might be delayed, we went to the cruise dock. There, we found a boat with a customer waiting, and when we showed the QR code, they let us on. We departed at 6:35 p.m. I don't know if it was a regular time or an extra time, but we had a fun hour-long cruise while listening to the explanation in German. We downloaded the app, but it was hard to use. Even though I don't understand German, the view from the boat was great, so I'm really glad I was able to get on.

the tour was great. we're amazed with how big the port is and they show how the port was dealing with big cargo (container). it's kind a new for us. we also got to see others historic building such as Elbphilharmonie from different side view. the down point was only the tour conduct in German, although 12 pm we believe it should be English tour. But others German tourist had lots of laugh, so i guess it's such a fun.
