Review for: Eungella National Park Half-Day Platypus Encounter Tour from Airlie Beach

An incredible experience that I would recommend without hesitation. It's a fantastic way to discover the inland region and learn more about the area's unique wildlife and natural environment. A special mention goes to Cara, who was wonderful from the moment she picked us up at the hotel until she dropped us back. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail really enhanced the tour. Seeing platypuses in their natural habitat and learning about their behaviour was truly something special.

More about Eungella National Park Half-Day Platypus Encounter Tour from Airlie Beach

Embark on an unforgettable day departing from Airlie Beach as you journey south into the verdant Clarke Ranges. This tour takes you through misty mountains to Eungella National Park, one of Queensland’s most remarkable natural treasures. Covering a vast expanse of subtropical rainforest, Eungella has remained ecologically unique for thousands of years. Its name, meaning "Land of the Clouds" in the local Aboriginal language, perfectly captures the sense of wonder you will experience. The park is also one of the few places in Australia where the elusive platypus can be seen in the wild. With patience and a little luck, witnessing this fascinating creature in its natural habitat often becomes the highlight of the day
