What to expect
Depart from Osaka and embark on a worry-free day trip to Kyoto’s Tango region! First, board the Sea Train. As the train crosses the Yura River Bridge, the azure sea accompanies the train, instantly revealing a beautiful scene reminiscent of “Spirited Away”~ Next, visit Amanohashidate, one of “Japan’s Three Scenic Views.” Climb high to see the sandbar like a bridge over the sea, or take a boat to feed the seagulls. Finally, enter the Ine Funaya village to see the boathouses reflected in the water with fishing boats, and taste fresh seafood snacks. With dedicated car transfers throughout, you don’t need to worry about planning, making it easy to enjoy the mountains, sea, and fishing village.
Tango Sea Train [Includes regular train ticket] When the train passes the Yura River Bridge between Tango-Kanzaki Station and Tango-Yura Station, the contrast between the train and the sea is very dreamy, featuring a sea train view similar to “Spirited Away,” making it a popular photo spot. Additionally, the train will slow down and broadcast reminders when passing the Nagu Coast, allowing passengers to fully enjoy the coastal scenery. The journey from Nishi-Maizuru Station to Amanohashidate Station takes approximately 44 minutes. For example, if departing from Nishi-Maizuru Station at 9:44, you can arrive at Amanohashidate Station at 10:28.
Amanohashidate, one of “Japan’s Three Scenic Views” Standing on the observation deck, the long, narrow sandbar stretches like a bridge across the bay. Under the clear autumn sky, the sea shimmers with sparkling light, and the trees on the sandbar are tinged with light yellow. Every photo taken is a scenic shot that can go viral on social media. If you want a more immersive experience, you can walk along the path to the sandbar and enjoy the sea breeze and the tranquility of nature.
Ine Funaya Ine Funaya, known as “Japan’s Venice” and “the most beautiful seaside village”: More than 230 double-story wooden boathouses stretch for 5 kilometers along Ine Bay. The first floor is filled with fishing boats and directly connected to the bay, while the second floor is the villagers’ residence. During high tide, the houses appear to float on the sea. You can stroll along the coastline to see the boathouses reflected in the water, take a sightseeing boat to observe them up close from the sea, and taste freshly caught seafood at small shops along the coast, experiencing the slow pace of life in an ancient fishing village.

Our family of three participated in the May 26th Kyoto Tango Sea of Japan Train (Spirited Away-themed) & Amanohashidate & Ine Funaya Day Tour (including Sea of Japan train tickets) departing from Osaka. Our tour guide, Karin, was excellent and approachable. She was able to explain the attractions and nearby recommended shops (suggested food and souvenirs) in both English and Chinese, clearly sharing all the information she knew. She also provided relevant details promptly via Line. She treated us like family, and because of her, we will definitely join your company's future activities and recommend them to our family and friends. She was kind, always greeted us with a smile, and spoke with a gentle, sweet voice. Her English and Chinese were incredibly fluent, ensuring customers clearly understood the attractions and important details. My wife, who is quite particular about travel experiences, absolutely loved her too. We're giving her a special five-star review and high praise.
Amazing trip with our guide Liu today! We had time to walk around each stop and the pace was just right for me and my 12 year old son. The coach ride was comfortable, and the variety of experience from boat, cable car, and train experience was great! We enjoyed feeding the birds and going to the amusement park as well. Highly recommended!
This tour was the highlight of our trip! The meeting point was close to our hotel, and the guide, Liu, sent me the exact map pin to use. (On Google Maps, the pin is named "KKDay"). The bus was warm and comfortable on such a gold and windy day, it was about 8-10°C. What we loved most was that the trip truly felt so relaxed, as if we booked private transfers and not a full itinerary trip! Our guide, Liu always sent us meeting point instructions and highlights for the spots we were visiting. He was very accommodating and answered all our questions. He's fluent in Chinese, English and Japanese! I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone taking a trip to Osaka!!!
this tour was really enjoyable, from the serene and tranquil fishing village, the thrilling feeding of seagulls, to the gorgeous and stunning scenery at amanohashidate alongside the mini amusement park that is kid friendly! thank you tour guide liu for being such a meticulous guide, explaining everything in details using 4 languages to ensure everyone could understand. i cannot recommend this tour enough and im really glad i went on this tour ^^
I’m really happy I decided to join this tour. Sean was funny and very considerate. He kept offering to take photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable to look back on when we returned home. We were also given plenty of time to stroll around and enjoy each place. I already miss those moments and wish I could go back.
This is a very worthwhile trip, with train rides, cable cars, and boat rides, making it a truly fulfilling experience. Also, thank you to guide Liu for the thoughtful arrangements, bringing this tour to a perfect end. We welcome everyone to join this trip, and I believe you will return fully satisfied. Finally, thank you to the driver and guide Liu for their hard work! If there is a chance in the future, I will join other one-day tours offered by your company.
Very enjoyable experience with guidance from Richard. The trip has a lot of good sight seeing spot and nice chat with Richard!
Our tour guide, Jay, communicated bilingually throughout the trip, explaining the itinerary and a bit of history—just the right amount. He also gave us time to rest on the bus. It would have been nicer if we had more time at Tiankeng Scenic Area. We didn't even have enough time for lunch after exploring and having fun! However, we definitely saved a lot of time on transportation.
Today's day trip was so worth it! Train + cable car + boat trip to feed seagulls, lots of activities but not chaotic at all, had a great time. I must praise tour guide Liu, professional and responsible, the whole process was arranged in an orderly manner, and the explanation was also vivid, which added a lot of color to the whole trip. I will recommend tour guide Liu's tour group next time a friend comes!
