Cairns Southern Hemisphere Stars Half-Day Natural Wonders Tour

We joined the stargazing tour and really enjoyed it. Stargazing depends a lot on luck and weather, so we were very grateful that the conditions were good on the night we went. The experience felt really special because it was so dark at the location that we could only see the silhouettes of the trees, with the distant brightness coming from Cairns city. Lying on a picnic mat under the open sky and looking up at what felt like countless stars was such a peaceful and unforgettable moment. Our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable, which made the tour even better. He shared useful tips on how to take photos of the stars, lent us his binoculars, and pointed out different stars and constellations, especially Scorpio. He also showed us the Milky Way, which was amazing to see. It was a very meaningful experience and something different from the usual sightseeing activities in Cairns. I recommend it if you enjoy nature, quiet moments, and learning more about the night sky.

Our tour was originally scheduled for the evening of the 16th. However, because the weather forecast showed frequent showers and poor conditions for stargazing, the tour company contacted us and kindly offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule. Fortunately, since we were not checking out until the 18th and really didn’t want to miss this experience, we decided to reschedule the tour. To get straight to the point, I highly recommend this tour! Our driver and guide was Japanese, spoke excellent English, and was very friendly and witty. He made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. He also helped us with the best camera settings for photographing the night sky and even took some amazing photos of us under the stars — definitely some of the best photos from our trip! We really appreciated the company giving us the flexibility to reschedule because of the weather. If you are visiting Cairns and have the chance to join this stargazing tour, don’t miss it!

The guide can communicate in both Japanese and English. The drive to and from the location is approximately one hour each way, with one hour allocated for photography. The starry night is very beautiful. The guide will pick you up at your hotel, drive for about an hour to the spot, and then you'll have about an hour for photos.

I booked this stargazing tour after a friend recommended it. It was so convenient because they picked me up by car near my hotel. The starry sky was incredibly beautiful and truly moved me. The guide taught me how to take stunning photos of the stars, and I was able to capture memorable pictures that look amazing, especially considering they were taken with an iPhone. The time spent gazing at the constellations was also very enjoyable. I'm so glad I got to experience this fun tour.

It was truly wonderful to see the pristine stars of Australia. When I contacted them via email to adjust my schedule, they responded immediately and provided both pickup and drop-off services to my accommodation, which was excellent. Thank you for not only showing us the stars but also for teaching us how to take beautiful photos of the night sky. (The photo on the left was taken before learning, and the one on the right was taken after.) They even adjusted settings for my specific phone model, allowing me to capture truly stunning night sky star photos. I think I can use what I learned for future sky photography. (For those who want to get beautiful photos, it would be good to bring something to stabilize your phone. I felt that if I had brought my own equipment, I could have learned even more about taking pictures.) In addition, it was great that they explained constellations and taught us how to find north and south. Thank you for creating such beautiful memories. :)

The stargazing tour is really great and I enjoyed it a lot!!! Takuma is a very good tour guide and he told us a lot knowledge on the stars. We are able to see the milky way, southern star and shooting stars. He also taught us on tips for star photo taking.

This was truly an unforgettable experience. Seeing so many stars made me incredibly excited and happy. Our guide drove safely, and after we got out of the car, he explained a lot about the stars in detail. He even taught me how to take pictures of the stars with my phone. I really felt that the guide was thoughtful and responsible. He deserves high praise. ❤️👏👏 The next time I come to Australia, I will definitely book this tour again; it was truly eye-opening.

The weather looked bad on the original day, so I quickly rescheduled and participated. They kindly adjusted the schedule for me. The weather was great, and I was very satisfied to see many shooting stars, the Southern Cross, and even the Milky Way. It was a tour of one hour there, one hour of stargazing, and one hour back. I was a bit worried about the lack of restrooms along the way, but it turned out to be fine.

It was great that they informed us beforehand that we wouldn't be able to take perfect pictures due to the natural environment, that there were no restrooms, and that the car would be bumpy before we departed! When we arrived, we saw incredibly beautiful stars, and it's my best memory since coming to Australia! They also taught us how to take photos, and we got some wonderful souvenir pictures!
