Reviews summaryit was an interesting day knowing the history of the French royalties during that time. Al thought the entrance to the garden is not included in here we bought a separate ticket there. Yet still an good experience going inside the Versailles with our very nice and patient tour guide.
Absolutely in awe of the Palace ! As a lover of French History this was AMAZING and can’t wait to come back and do it again. Make sure you book an early time slot , you will be there at least 3 hours. And go early to book a golf cart to scoot around the gardens, it’s massive !
Beyond being a mere tourist attraction, the Palace of Versailles was a space that vividly showcased the power of the French absolute monarchy. From the moment you entered, you were overwhelmed by its scale and splendor. Each room was intricately adorned with gold leaf and ceiling frescoes, allowing you to truly grasp the majesty of the monarchy at the time. The Hall of Mirrors, in particular, was the most impressive space, creating a magnificent atmosphere with its combination of natural light and mirrors. The interior of the palace felt less like a simple living space and more like a stage designed to flaunt power. Every structure and decoration seemed to be crafted for 'display,' naturally conveying the political significance of the era. The exterior gardens were also striking. The endlessly sprawling gardens and perfectly aligned trees symbolically demonstrated the king's power, even attempting to control nature itself. However, due to the large number of visitors, it can be quite crowded, making it difficult to explore at a leisurely pace. Key areas tend to draw crowds, so it's important to plan your route in advance to see everything efficiently. Nevertheless, the Palace of Versailles is a place well worth visiting for its sheer scale and perfection, offering a simultaneous sense of historical significance and overwhelming spatial grandeur.
The Palace was truly amazing. It was very grand inside, with many rooms to explore. There were many things to read about the palace. The Hall of Mirrors was simply extravagant, filled with mirrors and chandeliers. It was just grand. The Versailles Gardens are also just outside, which are lovely and huge. I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed this tour to the fullest. Our tour guide Laura explained every detail regarding the Chateau along with the history behind it. She even explained to us the significance of some of the paintings and artwork. Three cheers to the tour and to Laura. Enjoyed to the fullest.
The ticket also granted access to the sprawling gardens, which are masterpieces in their own right. Designed by André Le Nôtre, the gardens are a symphony of symmetry, fountains, and sculptures. Strolling along the manicured paths, I was struck by the sheer scale of the grounds—every corner revealed a new vista, from hidden groves to grand fountains that danced to classical music during scheduled shows. The Grand Canal was another highlight, offering a peaceful spot to sit and admire the palace from afar. Renting a small boat is an optional extra, but even without it, the view was breathtaking.
Very easy to enter — got 9:30 AM antes de and arrived just before 10 AM and had no problems! Glad I got the earlier slot as I stayed until about 4 PM. I got some food at the boulangeries outside and could eat outside the palace — food is way too expensive there.
Our experience was truly wonderful — everything went smoothly, efficiently, and beyond expectations. The service was excellent, and everything was handled with great professionalism. The place itself was absolutely breathtaking — every corner offered something beautiful to admire. A successful visit all around, and one I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable experience!
