What to expect
Hello, I’m Jeongju Kim, a traditional Korean calligrapher and craft artist based in Seoul. Join me for a peaceful and hands-on Korean bookbinding experience where you’ll create your own handmade notebook using traditional techniques.
We’ll begin by folding selected papers and arranging them between elegant coversand learn the traditional Korean binding method step by step, from making precise holes to stitching the book together by hand.
Then you’ll also practice your name in Hangeul with a brush, you’ll create a beautiful handwritten title piece to decorate your cover.
Your finished notebook can become a special travel journal for your Seoul memories — a place to keep tickets, sketches, thoughts, and stories from your journey. More than just a souvenir.
