Reviews
The guide was the best. He knew how to tell ghost stories and with passion. His spooky story telling abilities gave me goosebumps! Good interaction as well, some of our fellow tour mates were asked to carry electric lanterns to ensure the paths are clearly visible when walking. A little disappointing sd umbrellas were not allowed but they explained it’s because they didnt want any accidents especially with the pointy umbrella ends and the environment being dark in the evening.
It was Christmas Eve and a raining night. While the guide shared many stories, the current tour as compared to 30 years ago no longer share some of the artifacts or displays in the prison cells which kind of disappointment. Nonetheless, good for first timer.
wonderful experience. the guide was too good. highly recommended
Fantastic experience. Our guide Dave made it an incredibly awesome night.
Informational tour with great storytelling and ambience
Tour was great however we arrived and they had no booking. Lucky they had spare spots to fit us in
This tour is average. The tour guide brought group around to different areas on the site. They tell stories of the convicts and ghost stories of apparent sightings on previous ghost tours. They try to frighten the group by slamming the table or stomping their foot suddenly. This is predictable and quite boring.
This was a very interesting tour and although not everyone will be able to experience the paranormal activities as this is pretty subjective, the whole story telling from the experienced guide provides everyone a great history lesson on the historic site of Port Arthur. Thoroughly enjoyed it too. P.S. Try & see if you can spot anything "thing" in my last pic (hint: brighten your screen and look at the window in the middle of the pic)
Its a fun activity! Along each point, the guide tell us what happen at that area. And also, she tell us the experience that others had experienced before. Its a great experience to explore Port Arthur at night too.
not scary enough. I personally think it is not worth the money spend.
