It's full of things you could never do on a typical trip, and it was a valuable experience. The recipes are easy to recreate at home, but the taste is authentic and very good. The host, Rachel, is fluent in English, so there's no need to worry about Chinese. She's friendly, and you'd probably be fine even if you don't speak English. It was my first trip to Shanghai, and through conversations about things other than cooking, I gained a deeper understanding of Shanghai. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a local experience! Also, there's a cute dog.

the experience was very personal and memorable. rachel was very kind and accommodating. we had the class with two other people and we ended up staying a bit longer for a nice chat. would definitely recommend for a different experince plus the yummy food!

We had a great time in Rachel’s cooking class. we enjoyed the food and they felt like recipes we could replicate ourselves. It was nice talking to her, it allowed us to have a better understanding of life in Shanghai. Her cute dog was also a nice addition.

Had a lovely evening with Rachel and her little dog. It was a private dinner since I had booked the experience alone. We went to a local market together and then she showed me how to cook a few local dishes and we spoke about the local life and shared different experiences. High recommend if you want to socialize with the locals while sharing a meal, instead of going for a professional chef type of cooking class.

My husband and I were Rachel's first guests on Klook. We're happy with the experience and delicious foods at such good price. Rachel was great with communication prior, and very helpful and accommodating with our choices of dishes. Her place and the fresh market nearby were tidy and clean. Although her kitchen was tiny, it was well equipped. Meeting her lovely dog Roni was also a big plus. Highly recommend this experience.
