One-day tour of Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden + Lion Grove/Night Tour of Zhouzhuang/Suzhou Museum

Although the Humble Administrator's Garden was beautiful, the crowds negatively impacted the experience. Luckily, Tour Guide Huang provided detailed explanations and led the way; otherwise, it would have been a wasted trip. The experience at Zhouzhuang Ancient Town was relatively more relaxed because there were fewer people on Monday. Zhouzhuang at night was beautiful, and Tour Guide Chen's commentary was very interesting.

The tour guide is helpful but her explanation to the various attraction seem to be on a "repeated mode" and she speaks too fast. For the lunch, though is non-inclusive, I was informed during the tour that I needed to pay extra for a group lunch due to time constraint (30mins). I am not sure if it is okay for guest to opt-out of the "optional" lunch. Do also note that need to pay extra for the tram ride up the Tiger Hill. For us, we were bored towards the end of the tour, as the explanation was too rush and the guide is trying to finish up all 5 attractions. if you wish to visit as much of attraction within a day, do consider. But I hope the tour agency can take into consideration for the guide to slow down the talking speed (we were the only foreigner in the group, the others are their domestic tourist).

An enlightening tour with a lively and clear guide!

Take note that the entire tour was in Mandarin. There are 2 different tour guides. For HAG, even though you have an ear piece to listen to the guide but only if you are close to the guide. Also difficult to keep up with the guide as there are too many ppl. There is time after the guided tour to still wander on your own as the Zhouzhuang bus only leaves at 1.30pm. The Zhouzhuang tour was much better - less people & the ear piece has a bigger range (100m). The show at Zhouzhuang is highly recommended. The Zhouzhuang guide was very attentive, providing lots of recommendation & very courteous. Recommended to quickly eat dinner, take some photos around sunset before going to the show.

Xiao Chen was a great guide. She was clear in the organisation and the itinerary went very smooth (despite the big group and the maze-like Zhouzhuang). She took great care of guests and made sure that the needs of the different groups are catered to. The itinerary also included several options (e.g., evening performance, no evening performance but time to check out the old town and do some shopping…). I highly recommend taking this tour, especially if it’s your first time in Suzhou.

Well-organised tour with many places covered in a single day - totally worthwhile. Ms Chen Yu Feng was a wonderful guide who took great care of everyone, including the elderly. Highly recommended if you want to see all the main attractions in one day.

Tour guide Chen Yu-feng explained things in great detail and brought the history to life. The overall experience was great. Only the additional-cost boat ride at the end involved just riding the boat without any narration. The boat was electric, not a manually rowed boat, which made the ride feel a little empty. All other experiences were excellent.

This day trip to Suzhou (Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, Suzhou Museum, Pingjiang Road) was fantastic and completely exceeded my expectations! [1] Itinerary: The itinerary was tight but reasonable, and it was very convenient for first-time visitors to visit several famous Suzhou attractions in one day. [1] Tour guide service: The tour guide is particularly worth mentioning. He/she provided ample information, explaining the historical background, garden features, and local culture in great detail and in a captivating way. This made the whole trip not just a superficial tour, but full of knowledge, and provided a deeper understanding of Suzhou's culture. Attraction experience: The classical garden beauty of the Humble Administrator's Garden and Lion Grove Garden is amazing. The architecture and collections of the Suzhou Museum are also very distinctive. Finally, experiencing the aquatic charm of Pingjiang Road was a perfect way to end the day. In summary, this was a well-organized and educational trip, highly recommended to friends who want to easily visit the classic attractions of Suzhou.

时导is a responsible,knowledgeable and caring tour guide. The whole group was around 45 peoples but she managed to ensure every family group was taken care off. Her character is cheerful and we all enjoy her informative jokes. She is by far the best tour guide I've encountered so far in China.

The tour of Zhouzhuang Watertown is nice. It is best to go with a tour group as it is not that accessible. The night scenery was worth the journey and the interactive show experience was interesting. The tour guide Ms Chen was knowledgeable and good.
