2-Day Guizhou Maolan Hiking Tour (Karst Primitive Forest + Caves + Tyndall Effect)

Day 1: Original Forest Hike, Exploring Karst Caves

• 12:00 Departure from Libo Railway Station
• 12:10 For those boarding in Libo County, pick-up available along Yingbin Avenue (Libo Bus Station/Libo Ancient Town)
• 13:00 Arrive at Maolan Scenic Area (purchase tickets collectively, transfer to scenic shuttle bus to the guesthouse)
• 13:30 Arrive at the guesthouse and check in, short rest (lunch at your own expense)
• 14:30 Organize equipment and start hiking to Sidong (Four Caves), about 8 kilometers, duration approximately 3-4 hours
• 18:00 Return to Wuyan Bridge (Five-Eye Bridge)
• 19:00 Gather at the guesthouse for dinner (at your own expense) to taste local farmhouse dishes
• 20:00 Enjoy evening activities such as Werewolf (game) Reminder: The hike to Sidong today is not very difficult. If you have a headlamp or flashlight, please bring it.

Day 2: Hike through Funnel Forest, Encountering Tyndall Effect

• 08:00 Breakfast time
• 08:30 After breakfast, prepare equipment in advance (store equipment/items not needed during the hike in the vehicle)
• 09:00 Start hiking to Funnel Forest, about 13 kilometers, hiking duration 6-7 hours. The scenery along the way is stunning, especially when sunlight penetrates the forest - absolutely gorgeous!
• 16:00 Arrive at the end of the hike, take the bus back to Libo/Railway Station
• 17:30 Arrive at the meeting/dispersal point (Libo/Railway Station), end of the trip Reminder: Today’s Funnel Forest is an original forest, and the difficulty will be slightly greater than the first day, but the scenery is stunning, and the route is about 13 kilometers, so there shouldn’t be any major problems.
