- Qinqiang Opera: A traditional opera genre from Northwest China with a long history. Its singing is high-pitched and passionate, with a wide vocal range, divided into joyful and sorrowful tones. The performance is simple, rough, bold, and exaggerated, with rich character roles and diverse facial makeup colors and patterns.
- Huayin Laoqiang: A traditional opera genre from Huayin, Shaanxi Province, originating in the Qing Dynasty, known as the "national essence" of the Shaanbei region. Its singing is bold and passionate, with strong感染力. The performance form is unique, usually performed by multiple people in cooperation. The lead singer has a high-pitched voice, supplemented by backing vocals. Instruments include clappers, moon lute, banhu, etc., with a strong rhythm, creating a majestic atmosphere.
- Shadow Play: First originated in the Western Han Dynasty, it uses transparent leather figures projected onto a screen under lights, telling stories by manipulating the shadow figures. During the performance, artists manipulate the shadow figures behind the screen while singing, accompanied by music. The shadow figures are exquisitely made, brightly colored, and vividly portrayed. Their movements are brought to life on the screen through the artists' skillful manipulation.
- Wanwanqiang: Mainly popular in Shaanxi Province, it originated from the singing forms of folk artists during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. When singing, the young male, young female, and qingyi roles combine true and false voices, with mostly true voice for articulation and mostly false voice for trailing notes. The old male, bearded male, old female, and clown roles all use true voices.
- Rod Puppetry: A traditional puppet performance form, originating from Chinese folk art. It consists of a wooden head and a handle. Actors hold the handle of the rod puppet to control its movements and expressions during the performance. Through exquisite skills, artists make the puppets perform various vivid actions, such as walking, fighting, and dancing, as if giving life to the puppets, often performing traditional opera stories.
- Opera Techniques: Includes a wealth of diverse performance skills, such as face-changing, fire-spitting, sleeve-flinging, and spear-kicking. Face-changing can instantly transform the character's facial makeup, showing different expressions and temperaments; fire-spitting is when actors spit fire from their mouths, creating a stunning stage effect; sleeve-flinging expresses the character's emotions and mood changes through various graceful flinging movements; and spear-kicking and other techniques demonstrate the actors' superb physical coordination and martial arts skills, adding exciting and stimulating elements to the performance.
