This walking tour met my expectations. We had two guides for the day: Andres accompanied us for about 30 minutes to help us cross the border, and then Carlos took over as our main tour guide. Once we arrived on the Mexico side, we boarded a van and headed to downtown Tijuana. Carlos was knowledgeable and passionate about his city. He guided us through a variety of local experiences, including sampling candies, moles, and tequilas. He shared engaging stories and historical insights, and even stopped by the famous restaurant where the Caesar salad was created, though we didn’t go inside. While bottled water wasn’t included in the tour, a drink was provided with our lunch. Before the tour, I was concerned about the return border crossing into the U.S., but fortunately, we only had to spend about 15 minutes.
