Reviews
Our pedicab tour through Bukchon Hanok Village was a fantastic experience. Our guide brought the history to life, showing us the statue of the boy fishing where canals once flowed and even the actual stones where women used to wash clothes. He was full of great local tips, like where to find the specific black sesame ice cream at the Baskin-Robbins and a tea house where you can soak your feet. The tour ended with a fun dancheong painting session where we learned the meaning of the colors, and I love the tiger charm I brought home. It was a perfect blend of history, culture, and local secrets.
Dear customer, We would like to share the merchant's response to your review. Thank you so much for sharing such a vivid and memorable review! We love hearing how the stories of Bukchon—like the old waterways, washing stones, and local legends—came to life during your tour. It’s especially fun to know that the small local tips, from black sesame ice cream to foot-soak tea houses, added an extra layer of discovery. We’re also delighted that you enjoyed the Dancheong painting session and the meaning behind the colors—and that the tiger charm found a good home with you! Your words perfectly capture what we aim for: a meaningful blend of history, culture, and local secrets. Thank you for riding with us!
I booked the 2-hour VIP Private Pedicab Tour around Bukchon, Anguk, Jongno, and the Hanok Village, and it turned out to be one of the most unique and charming experiences I’ve had in Seoul. Our guides were incredibly warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, sharing small stories and details about each neighborhood that made the ride feel personal and immersive. They didn’t take photos for us, but they did bring us to the best scenic spots and viewpoints—places I would never have found on my own. The pedicabs themselves were clean, safe, and surprisingly comfortable. And don’t worry if it’s cold—they provide cozy blankets. I actually refused the blanket at first, but later ended up using it and it was super comfy and made the ride even more enjoyable. We also made a stop at the charming Bukchon Dancheong Workshop. Due to an unexpected hospital appointment, we couldn’t participate in the workshop itself, but they still welcomed us warmly, gave us small gifts, and even took a cute photobooth picture for us. It was a thoughtful touch that made the tour feel even more special. I honestly expected that 2 hours might feel too long, especially since I'm a “walking person,” but it wasn’t boring for even a minute. The ride was smooth, peaceful, and full of interesting sights. I chose the 4 PM slot, which was absolutely perfect—half in daylight, and half under the glowing nighttime neon lights and early evening buzz of the city. It felt like getting two completely different tours in one. Overall, the experience was worth every second and a wonderful way to see Seoul’s traditional and modern sides blend together. Highly recommended!
Dear customer, We would like to share the merchant's response to your review. Thank you sincerely for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review. We’re truly honored that the 2-hour VIP Private Pedicab Tour became one of your most unique experiences in Seoul. It’s wonderful to hear that our guides’ warmth, attentiveness, and storytelling helped make each neighborhood feel personal and immersive. While they may not take photos directly, we’re glad the scenic viewpoints and hidden spots left a strong impression—those quiet moments and unexpected views are often what make Bukchon so special. We’re also happy to know you found the pedicabs comfortable and appreciated the cozy blankets (it sounds like they won you over in the end!). Even though you couldn’t participate in the Dancheong workshop due to unexpected circumstances, we’re glad the workshop team could still welcome you warmly and add small, thoughtful touches to your day. Your comment about the 4 PM time slot is especially lovely—experiencing both daylight and the early evening atmosphere truly does feel like two tours in one. Thank you again for your recommendation and for trusting us with your time in Seoul. We hope to welcome you back again someday!
The best guide I’ve ever encountered. He made the trip worthwhile. The neighborhood was interesting and showed we a lot of historical factors. This guide is a perfect 10! He is friendly, easy to talk to, and creates a personal environment for this tour. The pedicar is perfect for this type of sightseeing. You get to see much more.
Dear customer, We would like to share the merchant's response to your review. Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! We’re honored by your kind words and are thrilled to hear that the guide made the tour feel personal, engaging, and worthwhile. We’re glad you enjoyed learning about the neighborhood’s history and seeing more through the pedicab experience. A “perfect 10” truly means a lot to us!
Whether you have mobility issues or want to give your feet a rest while still being able to get around and see the sights and take some great photos, this is a definite must do to add to your list. My guide Dokdo was excellent. Very informative and fun. I highly recommend.
The Arte Pedicab company tour booked through Klook is a great experience and I highly recommend it! It is especially good for those with limited mobility like my 80-year-old mom or those with small children. (I think most children would just love riding in a pedicab.) Our pedicab guide asked us to call him Smiley and he was! He was knowledgeable, experienced, courteous, thoughtful, kind, and fun! He warned us when we would be going over bumps or making a U-turn and told us to let him know if we wanted to slow down or stop. He took us to the most scenic areas for photos and positioned the pedicab for ease of picture taking. He would even stop the pedicab in front of good backgrounds in order for him to take pics of us. I would have forgotten if he hadn't done this, plus I'm terrible at taking selfies. Our adventure really began when we got turned around when walking to our meet up location. Luckily, Smiley texted via What'sApp to confirm our meeting. I sent him a pic of where we were and he responded that it was no problem; he would pick us up there. This was such a blessing because my mother was already tired out from what was supposed to be a 12 minute walk, but had turned into 25 min. We were at Changdeokgang Palace, so Smiley was able to start our tour right there. (Note:This palace is closed on Mondays.) Smiley took us to so many beautiful places, including Gyeongbukgong Palace, the Blue House, the Hibiscus Garden, and all through the steep, hilly alleys of Bukchon Hanok Village. I had noticed first thing that the pedicab had an electric motor and was glad for Smiley when we were going up those hills! We kept seeing a bicycle tour group as Smiley tooled around Bukchon, and I know at least one of those guys was thinking, "Why didn't we do a pedicab?" About midway in our tour, we stopped at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History where Smiley took us to the rooftop to get a wonderful view of Gyeongbukgung Palace from above. The museum stop also provided a good opportunity to use the restroom. As we neared the end of our tour, Smiley asked where we would like to be dropped off. Our hotel was not too far away in Insadong, so Smiley said he could take us there. Bonus: when we got onto Insadong-gil (main street), Smiley was able to tell us about the history of Insadong and why it has a such concentration of arts, crafts, and antiques. (I think there is also extra time built into the tour in case people want to get out of the pedicab and take pics or walk around a bit. We were fine staying in the cab so that extra time could be used to get us to our hotel, since we arrived there at exactly the end of our 2-hour tour. Or else Smiley has most excellent timing 😄.) Pro-tip: weekdays are better for an easier, more relaxing tour. On weekends the streets are crowded and much more difficult to navigate. Our pedicab tour was a great balance of interesting information, beauty, and fun. We would definitely do it again! Thank you, Smiley! 😄❤️😄❤️😄
Our tour and tour guide Dali were great. We only wished It lasted a bit longer because we were having fun. He even took some nice pictures of us. definitely worth every penny.
I recently joined a pedicab tour around Buckchon Hanok Village and nearby neighborhoods, and it turned out to be one of the most charming ways to explore Seoul's traditional heart. Riding through narrow alleys, passing beautifully preserved hanoks, and hearing the stories behind each location made the experience truly immersive. The guide, who also drove the pedicab, explained everything clearly, shared interesting facts with enthusiasm, and kept the conversation engaging. He regularly checked that everyone was comfortable and even offered blankets on a chilly day. The pedicab allows visitors to reach places larger vehicles cannot, making it perfect for travellers who prefer a relaxed yet immersive way to explore. The VIP tour also includes a Traditional Korean Dancheong workshop, offering a creative hands-on experience with this colorful art. As a lover of history and culture, I found the tour enriching and unforgettable.

i booked the 2h tour and i have to say it really was worth it. My driver showed me around many interesting places and also some good restaurants. He also made sure that I'm always comfortable and took pictures of me with the most important places. I definitely reccomend this tour for people who visit Seoul for the first time but also for people that just want to explore Seoul comfortably!
I've been to Seoul a few times but I never been on the pedicab tour. So this time I took a whole Buchon Hanok Village with the pedicab tour with my son. It was a very nice experience. The guy who did the pedicab had a lot of knowledge about the area and he's also took a lot of nice photos for us. Overall is a very nice experience.
Definitely on of the highlights of our holiday. When booking for activities in Seoul, I had to think of ways my parents didnt need to walk to far. I came across this activity and decided to try it. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and was able to experience the whole of hanok village without walking far. She guides brought us to great spots for pictures and gave wonderful information about the history and culture of Korea. I highly recommend this tour. 5 stars!
